With the seal around my heart taken shape the only thing left to do was to activate the seal. I sent my heart aloft, floating above my head.

I could see the desperation of that beast. No long was in intent on killing everyone around the seals. It was only intent on killing me.

"The barrier, it won't hold!" Glynda shouted.

I can hear the barrier begin to crack. Dark mist seeped in through the cracks. Clawing at the fractures it managed to make a small hole in the barrier. Worming and drilling it's way through, its shadowy form moved through the hole. It crashed through the next barrier ignoring it's own safety as its form began to dissipate. It lurched forward ignoring all else save for me.

Breaking through the barrier the protected me. Its form was so badly damaged it seemed like it would fall apart at the seams. However, its bulky menacing form was still more than strong enough  to leave me as a brainless husk.

I couldn't help but smile I had already finished what I had started.

"I engrave thee within the heart of magic and source of the contract bound by our bond. Get thee hence demon!"
