After finishing the contracts. I set about weaving spells into every corner of the castle and the island on which this castle stood. These traps were designed to contain the beast for a time. Though with the strength of the beast these spells wouldn't last more than a few moments against it because they would serve a doors among a maze of corridors.

Each door's purpose was to slow its approach. Each could be opened or rather consumed by the beast with little effort, and for a beast comprised of a soul held together through mana and magic these would be a delectable snack on the path to stopping the ritual. And each would give us precious seconds to preform the ritual.

There would be no sleep for me.

With the full moon behind me there was little chance that the curse of the Dark One would flare up or thata the beast would control me, and as long as I remain awake it must sleep.

After I had weaved my spells. I sought to reinforce every the ward of the ritual. After all that was done there was only one more thing to do, of which I dreaded immensely.
