Dan's POV

"Come on, Phil! We're gonna be late!" I shouted, running outside with my relatively new skateboard in hand. "Coming!" He called, chasing after me.

Once outside, I rolled my board onto the pavement, and hopped on it swiftly. "You're gonna ride your skateboard?" Phil wined. "Hell yeah I am!" I laughed, taking off down the road. Phil clumsily chased me, not being able to keep up in the slightest with his little run.

"Dan! Wait!" He screamed from behind me. I knew it was mean of me to keep going, but God was he cute trying to run after me. Eventually, though, I did stop.

"I hate you!" Phil laughed, shoving me slightly. "Shut up, you love me." I towered over him whilst standing on the board, which added a few extra inches to my terrifyingly tall height.

I took his hands in mine, and leaned down to kiss him as he stood up on his tip-toes to reach me.

"It's not fair, you can travel so fast on that and I can't." He stated once we pulled away. "I can teach you how to ride it." I smiled, hoping off the board. "What? You're crazy." "Yeah, I know." I laughed.

After a while of debating, I finally convinced Phil to try and ride my skateboard. "Put one foot on the board, then stand on that leg, slowly." I instructed. "Ok." he said simply. Yet, he stood on the board and it instantly slid out from under him like a bar of soap in a cartoon. I caught him in my arms, and caught the skateboard with my foot too.

He clung into my shirt for dear life as I stifled a chuckle. "Phil, you ok?" I asked, standing him up straight. "Yeah, guess I just suck at this." he grumbled. "It's ok, here." I rolled the skateboard I between us again.

I grabbed his hips, and he held my shoulders. "Ok, jut put one foot on the board, and shift just a tiny bit of your weight onto it." "Don't let go." he said like a scarred puppy, looking up at me. "Not for the world." I replied, kissing his forehead reassuringly.

He stepped on the board, and adjusted to it a bit. "Ok, I've got you. Now put all your weight on it, and stand with your feet facing like this." I showed him, standing on the ground with my feet facing different directions. "Ok." he lifted himself off the ground, and wobbled a bit.

"Whoa, ok, ok." I grabbed onto him tighter as he tilted. Finally, he was steady, and he laughed, "I did it!" "I'm so proud of you." I laughed back, pecking his lips. "Now, I'm going to move the board a bit. Hold onto my shoulders." "Ok. Please don't let go of me." "Phil, I'm not an idiot. I won't just let go of you." he huffed, then nodded, as if to himself, then said, "Ok."

I pushed him a little forward, and the board rolled slightly. He wobbled again, and gripped onto my shoulders like his life depended on it. "Phil, be careful. Don't break my shoulders." I said, referring to his hands on me. "Sorry. It's just-mm-really scary." He winced. "Ok, it's fine." I kissed his cheek, and stopped the board from rolling.

"Ok, I'm going to push you, and have one hand on your waist." he looked at me, terrified, "What! I can barely stand on this thing with both your hands on me!" "Lion, you'll be fine." I laughed, putting one hand on the side of his hip. I scooted him forward slightly, and he still held onto my shoulders, but not as hard as before.

"See, that wasn't so bad." I smiled at him after I stopped the skateboard from rolling, again. "I guess not," he smiled, "I'm getting better at this." "Yeah! Ok, now hold onto my shoulder with one hand." "What?!" "Phil, you'll be fine." "But-Ok." he sighed, holding one of my shoulders.

We continue this for a little while until Phil said, "Dan, I'm getting tired. We already missed the movie, and I wanna go home. You can teach me this skateboard thing tomorrow." "Ok, let's go." I smiled, and he hopped off the board.

I held it in my right arm, and Phil's hand in my left hand. We walked down the pavement for a while untill we got home.

Phil was making dinner in the kitchen, and I silently walked up behind him. I wrapped my arms around his waist, and kissed his neck. "Hey, babe." He turned around, and pecked my lips. "Mm, what's this?" I stuck my finder in the bowl he was stirring, and licked it off. "Dan!" He smacked my hand, and I laughed. "You were really brave riding the skateboard earlier." I complimented, resting my chin on his head. "Thanks." he said proudly. "Though you looked like an idiot the whole time. You were terrified of everything." I added quietly. "What?! I hate you!" He laughed, and playfully slapped my arm again. "Shut up, you love me." I smiled, and turned him around. I pushed him up against the counter, grabbing his hips like I hand before when we were outside. "Guess I do. But why I do-that's something I'll never be able to answer." he sighed with sarcasm, and kissed me sweetly.
