Dan's POV

Um, hi. My name's Dan. And...when (or if), you meet me, you'll realize how much I shake, how much I sweat, how large my eyes get, and how scared I look when talking. It's because I've got a mental condition, I've forgotten the name, however. Whatever the condition's title is, it means that I can't go outside. It's a fear of people.

Yeah, I know it's stupid and pathetic, but believe me, it is a real problem.
The only way I've been able to cope is trough all this is Phil. Oh, right, um, Phil. He's a tall, black haired, blue eyed, handsome, kind man. He's my only visitor, besides the nurses that check on me and bring me food, and I feel so much better around him.
Just as soon as he walks in the room, with his head down, closing the door, then slowly looks up at me and smiles with those perfect pink lips that I would love to be attached to mine... wait, what? Um...never mind.
Anyway, Phil stops by every two days, and within that time we play simple, slow paced video games (and sometimes board games), cuddle, talk, and just relax. Like all the stress in the world has been lifted off of us.

God, I'm so excited to see him again. I thought. Just then, there was a knock on my door. It wasn't Phil. Phil always knocked thee times, the first two were always quicker knocks then the third. "C-Come in." I said slowly, and quietly. A brown haired nurse, Ms. Bellum, stepped in. She smiled and spoke softy and slowly. Here, I'm treated like a scared child all the time, but with a mental illness like mine, I understand. "We're going to give you your weekly shots in a few minutes, then take some blood. I promise it won't hurt, ok?" "You don't have to treat me like a child, you know?" I stated, then quickly added, "Nevermind. I didn't mean it. I'm sorry." And I crawled further down my bed, squishing myself against the headboard. "It's ok. I'll be back in a minute. Rub this on your arm until I get back." she smiled, and handed me a disinfecting wipe. "Ok, Ms.Bellum." I took it from her, and she left.

After she had given me the several shots, she started taking my blood. "Oh, um, Dan, there's something I have to tell you." "What?" I asked. "Y-You can't have many visitors anymore. Well, you can, but for your health it would be better to only have one person come over." I felt calmer, I knew who I was picking. "Phil!" I yelled, sitting up a bit, being careful not to move my arm. "But...what about your famil-... oops." she whispered, taking the needle out. "I don't have family or friends, except for Phil. I want him here with me. I chose Phil as my one visitor." She nodded, butting her lip, and quickly left.

Once alone, I stopped my slight shaking, and calmed down. Phil will be here soon, I thought, it will be fine. Sure enough, about ten minutes later, three knocks (the first two quicker then the third), were heard at the door. "Come in." I said eagerly, smiling as I watched the door.

It was Phil. In his left arm he was holding a coat, and looking at the ground, he stepped in, pushed the door closed, then looked up at me and smiled. He was like an angel... wait, no, I can't like him. Well, I mean, I do a little...

"Dan?" Phil asked, setting his coat on the chair on the opposite wall. "Phil!" I yelled, my usual response to when he arrives, and pretended like nothing happened. He opened his arms, and I ran into them, cuddling myself in his chest. He protectively wrapped his arms around me, and then did something I never thought he'd do. He kissed my forehead.

I looked up at him questionably, "Did you just kiss my forehead?" He instantly blushed, and his eyes went wide, "Um..." he trailed off. We let go, and I tried to brush it off. I'm sure it was nothing.

After a few board games (Which I won the most of), some talking, and dinner, it was time for Phil to head home.
"I-I'm gonna miss you." I pouted, "Can't you stay the night? Please?" "Dan, you know my mother will kill me. I'll be back the day after tomorrow, ok? I always come back to the people I care for. Always." he smiled, and hugged me tightly. I hugged him back, beginning to cry slightly into his chest. "No, bear, don't cry. Please, don't cry. We had an awesome time, and we'll have another awesome time soon, ok?" He leaned down slightly and looked into my eyes. I nodded, "Ok." "Ok, good." he smiled. The room grew silent, and I realized he was moving closer to me. He was going to kiss me. On. The. Lips.

I took this opportunity to grab his face, and kiss him eagerly. "Mr. Lester." we suddenly jumped back as soon as our lips met. Ms.Bellum was standing there, "It's time to go. Actually, it's been ten minutes. You need to leave unless you're staying the night, and I do not have your parents perm-" Phil stopped her and grabbed his coat, "Yeah, yeah, whatever, I'm leaving, give me a minute to say goodbye. You got any idea what this kid goes through? How he has no one but me in his life to hold onto? No, you don't. Get off my back and jut give me a minute." I was taken aback by his words, and Ms.Bellum was too. Non the less, she left us alone for a bit.

"Bye Dan. I love you." he kissed me slowly, as I melted into him. "Bye. I love you too." I smiled after we pulled apart.

Ms.Bellum was back once Phil got himself out the door. It shut on me, but I looked through the tiny window, watching him go. He turned back for a second, and looked at my door, but then turned back around and walked away.

Only two more days...
