I waited until dinner with Dan, and within that time, I've spoken to everyone of mine or Dan's friends about what happened. Louise said she would be here at nine or so, and everyone else said they'd visit whenever they got the chance. They were busy people, so I really did understand why they couldn't make it today, or at least at this very second. But Louise...nothing comes between her and her friends, and I was happy she was coming over because I really did need some kind of support right now.
I pulled out a blanket from the closet, and a pillow too, and set them on the bench. I decided not to eat the hospital food, but the fast food right across the street.

"Dan, I'm going to go get food from down the street. I love you, and don't wake up untill I come back." I pet his hair, pulling it back slightly, and kissed his lips softly.

I had gone out, gotten my food, and came back in about twenty minutes, and soon found Dan's room again. When I walked in, he was still asleep.
"Aww, my baby bear." I wined, set my food aside, and walked over to hug him. "My bear." I whispered again, and kissed his forehead.

I ate my food silently, watching Dan, hoping to see him move, or even flinch the slightest. He didn't.

I threw my leftovers and trash away, and suddenly heard a knock at the door. "Hey." it's was Louise, an she poked her head in. "Hey." I faked a smile.

I walked over to the door after she closed it, and gave her a massive hug, which she returned. "I'm sorry this had to happen to you." she said looking towards the ground. "No, it's ok. The doctors said it could take him up to forty eight hours to wake up." "How long has it been?" She asked, sounding as concerned as ever, as she walked over to Dan's bedside. "I dunno, I've kinda lost track of time." I forced a chuckle, attempting to make everything less sad, I guess.

Louise sat down in a chair that was across the room from Dan, while I sat right beside him. "You can come over here, beside him, I mean" I offered. She just sucked her lips into her mouth as shook her head. "No, I-I can't bare it." her voice cracked and a tear ran down her face. "He'll be fine. The doctors said he'll wake up soon. Go home and get some rest, I'll tell you how he is all night, ok?"

Louise quietly agreed, and left just as fast as she arrived. I just had to play the waiting game now...
