Phil's POV

"Aww, Danny, what's wrong?" I walked into his room, simply to say I was going to bed, but when he turned aroud, his face was red, his cheeks were puffy, and there were tear streams down his face. "I-it's nothing." he very obviously lied, and turned back around. I looked over his shoulder, and saw why it was. Hate and criticism.

I grabbed his office chair, and forcefully turned it around, then got on my knee in front of him. "Dan, don't listen to them." I said with the most sympathy I could muster up while trying to keep the anger towards the haters inside. "B-but, I j-just can't help b-but let it g-get to me. A-And I get less hate then yo-ou p-percentage wise and-" I stopped his rambling, "Shhh, it's ok, bear." I wrapped my arms around him, and whispered in his ear, "Pain is relative. You're strong."

After a short while, I suggested, "Do you wanna cuddle a bit? It'll help you calm down." And he nodded with a pout/frown on his face. "Ok, come on, baby." I stood up, and grabbed his hand.

He laid down in his bed, and I followed after him. Once under the covers, I rested my head on the pillow, and grabbed Dan's tiny torso and pulled it against mine. He snuggled into my chest, still crying a bit, and I rubbed large circles in his back and rested my lips on his forehead.

Finally, he had stopped crying, and calmed down a bit. "Better?" I looked down at him. He looked up at me, nodded, and cuddled back into my chest. "Good." I smiled, starting to doze off.

I woke to the sound of...something. I think it was, crying? Oh no. Dan.

I peeled my eyes open quickly, for Dan to not be in my arms anymore, but at his desk, faced away from me, and silently crying into his hands. "Dan." I said suddenly, making him jump, and turn around like a deer caught in headlights.

I got up, and took about two long steps before I turned his computer off. "Hey," he declared. "I was using that." "Yeah, to make yourself miserable." I retorted. I scooped him up off his chair, bridal style, and walked over to the bed. I tossed him lightly onto the opposite side of the bed, and through the tears, he giggled a bit. I chuckled in response as I climbed in bed with him.

He laid down, and I laid on my stomach, half way on top of him. I put my arms around him, engulfing him with warmth and safety. As we lay there, I could practically feel him melt into security as he relaxed.

"Goodnight Dan." I whispered, and pecked his lips. "Goonight. Thanks for earlier, helping me stop, you know, crying and all." "Anything for you, baby bear." I kissed him again, and fell asleep.
