"Alex, why are we even going out? We can just eat something on the bus," I muttered quietly against Alex's side. His fingers lingered near my belt loops, shoulder hitting mine from behind. He chuckled, and I should feel his warm breath brush against the back of my ear like a small breeze.

The dim light of the restaurant didn't mix well with my slightly bad eyesight, so I slid my unused glasses on my own. I tried not to wear them because I hated the way that the thicker, black, square frames looked against my awkwardly shaped face. But Alex told me I didn't wear them often enough, so I decided to finally use them tonight.

It was a 'hole in the wall' restaurant Alex insisted on going to in Oklahoma right after he had showered on the bus. I hadn't even known we were stopping until he pulled me off the vehicle, leaving me speechless as Jack and Kara snickered from the couch in the front of the bus and the door shut behind us.

We were waiting behind another couple to be seated, but I didn't mind it so much. Standing here with Alex's scent filling my mind didn't bother me. It was a small restaurant, and only held about thirty people. It was an Italian place, I could tell by the aroma of bread, pasta and tomato sauce that filled the air.

I leaned on my left leg, body touching Alex's comfortingly. His fingers trailed around my lower back, rubbing it caringly. He was in a white v-neck and a black, sleeveless vest over the top. It was almost dressy, and I wasn't sure why he was wearing it. I was only in a pair of black skinny jeans and a white, off the shoulder, loose-fitted half-sleeve shirt. My hands were crossed over my chest, and he kissed my temple lightly.

Soon after he had done that, a nice, older lady had seated us in a small table in the back of the place next to the large window at the corner. The seats were conveniently positoined next to each other on the small, square table. So when we finally sat down, our legs hit each other's carelessly. I took the opportunity to wrap my ankle around his calf, and he raised his eyebrows at me with a smirk.

"I believe that's widly inappropriate for a first date," He said casually, picking up the menu that the hostess had set in front of us with a smile. I hadn't realized in all of the time that we had been together, that we had never actually gone out like this. I rolled my eyes at him, flipping through the menu with ease. it was so simple to be with Alex, and to feel comforting and nervous all at once.

"I think you are the last person that should talk about being appropriate," I teased, licking my lips, and skimming my teeth over my bottom lip. His brown eyes gazed over mine, and he leaned his elbow on the table, face inches from mine. I closed the gap, kissing him softly. I felt his mouth turn up under mine, and I lauged lightly. I pulled my mouth away, eyes still closed.

"You know, you fucking kill me when you do that" he murmured, face still inches from mine. I smiled wickedly in his direction, the lust in his coffee colored eyes made me laugh again.

"Do what?" I asked innocently, and he opened his mouth to answer. But before he could, our waitress came over with a large smile. She was a young girl, no more than sixteen. She grinned at us and took our drink orders before disappearing again. But it didn't stop Alex from continuing our conversation.

"You know exactly what I'm talking about," he bit the inside of his cheek, obviously wanting more PDA than I was willing to give. THis might be a dark restaurant, but I wasn't stupid. There was no way I was going to make out with Alex when we were going out to dinner and on a date. I knew Alex's ideas of a date before me consisted of more kissing than talking. But boy, was he in for a surprise.

"Sorry sweetie, I don't do this stuff for cheap," I rubbed my index fingers and thumb together in front of my face, showing the signal for money.  It caused a light chuckle out of his mouth as he settled his back to the chair once again, and decided what he wanted to order. I was craving chicken parmesan, I basically chose what I was going to get as soon as I smelled the pasta.
