Chapter Ninety Four

I wait in the waiting room for the results in the MRI tapping my foot. The nurse calls my name I get up quickly and rush over.

"It's indeed a Brain tumour."

"Oh god...no.nonono."

"But the good news is that is actually small enough to get it from through the nasal cavity."

"Okay..I want you to do it but I have no say. I'm not family."

"Anyone you can contact."

"Yes. Godfather counts yes?"

"Yes."

"Okay I'll give him a call to come over."

Hoppo rushes into the hospital jogging into the doors. Looking around. I wave my hand and he comes over.

The doctor speaks with him and I sit patiently.....I bounce my foot crazily.

"Yes do it. I promised her father that I would take care of her."

"Okay. It will most likely take over 6 hours."

"Okay...do what you can take your time."

She nods and walks away.

Hoppo sits beside me. "Your not going to work tomorrow."

"Really? I can stay here and wait for her?!"

"Yes. We both are."

I relax a sliver.

Hours go by and Hoppo has fallen asleep but I can't sleep a wink. 'Is the baby going to be effected?? Will she make it??? What happens if she doesn't? I'll be broken....'

I run my fingers through my hair breathing a heavy in our isolated room. I get up and start to pace I ruffle my hair anxiety hitting me and my anger of wanted it to go away.

I sit back down for a few minutes just not focusing on anything now...mind blank not knowing what exactly to do if these things happened.

A soon a doctor comes in I get up and so does Hoppo.

Her face says it all.

"No..."

"I'm so sorry but she starting having a seizure during the operation and she just didn't make it..."

My heart squeezes hard deflating. "No..." I fall to my knees. "No...no..." I murmur, "She can't be dead..she can't."

"Harrison." Hoppo says shaking me

I jump awake, I look around I'm on the chair. "what happened?"

"You were crying for Tessa in your sleep." I look at a nurse who's now in the room as well as one peeking around the corner.

"Is everything okay here?" The nurse ask

"Yes everything is okay thank you."

I sit up and heavily start breath trying to catch my breath. 'Just how loud was I saying it?'

I rub my face. "God I hope my dream doesn't come true."

After that nightmare I don't ever fall asleep again. I breathe shaky breaths and my hands follow. Shaking as well.

I look at my Apple Watch my girlfriend had given me as a Christmas gift.

It's almost been 8 hours since they started I look beside me and Hoppo is again fast asleep. I don't know how he does it....I guess he's put up with a lot of stressful things in his life time.
