Chapter 103

The day goes by quicker then usual only a few people needed rescuing.

"I'm gonna get some Burgers and chips." Harrison says as we close the shutters.

"Alright." I smile

He gives a cheeky smile back and takes off to his car and drives away.

As I finish putting the shutters down someone taps me on the shoulder. I jump, "Shit sorry."

"Oh Jake. You scared the living daylights outta me. I thought you had left hours ago."

"Yes but I was meaning to talk to you."

I fully turn to him. "What do ya want to talk about?" I ask smiling. I can smell the beer in his breath.

"Have you been drinking?" I giggle.

"A little." He puts a hand on the tower wall above me.

"Don't fall over now." I laugh

"I wanted to talk about us." He says slurring his words a bit.

"And?"

"You said you broke up with me because of work...but that's not it cuz now you're with Harrison."

"Well—" he does have a point

"I think you should drop Harrison and marry me.."

I laugh, "You can't be serious." I giggle. "What about Olivia."

He strokes a hair behind me ear. Oh he's serious..

He snakes his arm around my body and pulls me close. "I've been thinking about you all day..." he says getting closer and pressing me up against the wall. I can say it was a bit flattering to have his body pressed to mine but that could just be the excessive amount of hormones in my body or do I miss him?

He connects his lips with mine at first I don't like it but the memories of when we were together rushes back, the kiss turns into a both fault thing.

I can't help but run my fingers through his soft hair. Realization kicks in but it's too late.

"What the hell."

I push Jake off of me making him stumble a bit.

"Harrison it's not what it looks like." I tell him

"It's exactly what it looks like." Jake chuckles a girn on his face he drunkenly stumbles then manages to stay up.

Jake's P.O.V

After watching the couple be oh so romantic couple through the physical test it was time to leave. I didn't have to work the rest of the day so I just packed my things and changed. Then went to the bar.

I sigh as I drink a beer. What was so wrong with our relationship together? She said it was because of work...but now I can't really believe that because Harrison has the same job too and some how they're together. I scuff, who does he think he is? Stealing my girl.

Hours go by only feeling like a couple of minutes, I drink so many beers I lost count. "I think I should go talk to her." I tell myself giving the bar tender the money and leaving.

I walk over to the tower to see her putting down the shutters and Harrison leaving.

Even the back of her head is beautiful...not to mention that bum.

I walk over to her and tap on her shoulder making her jump with a yelp, "Shit sorry."

"Oh Jake. You scared the living daylights outta me. I thought you had left hours ago." She says, British accent that made every word she uttered seem charged with import and authority, god I love her.
