Chapter Seventy Five

"Party at my place?"

Me and Maxi jump as we tell Jake's hand on our shoulder.

"Oh shit sorry." He chuckles. "I wanted to get to you two before the end of the day but I was busy."

"Uh sure." I tell him, "That's sounds fun." I look at Maxi, "What about you? You coming?" I ask

"Well I mean sure. Is it okay if I bring Tahlia along?" He asks

Jake claps his hand on his back. "Of course Tahlia can come." Jake puts his arm around the back of my neck. "Harrison said that he was coming but I wanted to make sure I got to you about it before he did. Knowing you two are like a thing." He says with a smile crossing his fingers.

I chuckle nervously, "Yup we totally are." I smile I'm guessing Olivia didn't tell Jake about me and Harrison having...troubles.

"Well the party starts at 9 so hurry your   asses up." Jake says clapping both of our backs.

We watch as he leaves.

"Well definitely not drinking." I tell Maxi folding my lips in as I look at him.

"Probably a good idea." Maxi replies squinting a bit and pursing his lips.

"What you definitely should do is were something hella hot for Harrison. He'll be drooling all over you like a dish licker."

I laugh. "Yes sir." I smile

"You ready to go mate?" Maxi asks waving his hand at Harrison.

"Well I better get ready." I tell Maxi

"Alright. See you at the party." Maxi says giving me a wink.

I roll my eyes while smiling.

I look in the closet and spot a little strapless light blue dress.

I pull it on.

I look in the mirror, "Hm." I admire myself in the mirror trying to make a decision on it.

"Yeah this works." I play with my hair, "Looks good they way it is."

I go to the bathroom to put minimal makeup on. Then spritzing some of my sweet smelling perfume on.

I look at my clock and notice it's 9:20, "Shit." I put my matching heels on and try to run with them on trying to not damage them hearing quick clacks on the tile. I grab my keys. "Fuck this." I take my heels off and run bare foot something I'm used too.

I run down the stair and hop a couple step hitting the landing on my feet. Then continue to run down the other steps.

I run on the pavement unlocking the Jeep while I do. I get in and throw my heels on the passenger seat, it not being safe to drive with heels anyways.

I walk in, new music just starting.

I look around Jake's place and it's decorated with gold lights hanging on the walls.

"You like?" Jake asks

"Yeah looks awesome!" I tell him,

"Olivia helped." He smiles

"Your here!" I hear a familiar squeak. I turn around to be in golfed into a tight hug, it feels weird feeling her growing belly on my stomach.

"You look sexy," Olivia smiles checking out my dress. "A shorter dress then I thought you would wear."

"Yeah...I should go change shouldn't i?"

"Uh no. Harrison will definitely will not be able to help himself." She smack my butt, "Now get out there."

"Oi hey." I tell her squinting.

"Go." She shoos me, "Go. You only got a few hours before New Years."

I look at her as I slowly start to walk, "Fiiiinnne." I tell her rolling my eyes.

I bump into a stiff figure as I was about to look ahead.

I stumble back my thin heels making less surface to land on. I squeak as I feel myself fall back, I pull my hands out to try and grab hold of the railing of the stairs.

I feel arms wrap around me and pull me to my feet. My heart beats fast. "That was close." The younger voice says my hair blocks my view, I wipe it out of my face to see, Ryan. The new trainee.

I chuckle, "Yeah."

I notice how our bodies are pressed against each other's. Once I notice, I feel my face heat up with embarrassment.

"Oh sorry." He takes his hand off our my lower back and steps back.

"I should really start watching where I'm going.." I laugh nervously.

"Same though," he chuckles his face now red as well, "I keep bumping into girls."

"Guess your just a chick magnet." I giggle.

"Guess so." He laughs.

"Any that caught your eye?" I ask

"Well there was this one ginger I bumped into. She was pretty cute. She had the most fascinating green hazel eyes.....I could stare at them for hours."

I giggle at him who's seriously in a trance about this girl. "Did she give you a name? Or maybe her number." I ask winking and nudging him.

"Belle.."

"No number?" I ask

"Well she was going to but then I got radioed in."

"Oh noooo. Well maybe you'll meet her again."

"Hope so."

"I'm sure you'll see her again. If she likes you I'm sure she'll come to find you, she does know where you work."

"True."

"Oi Ryan you gonna come over and help us or what?" Maxi asks as they move the new pool table Jake got yesterday that Olivia told me about.

"Oh right. Well it was nice talking to you."

"Same to you." I smile, he takes off over to them.

I look around the room to try and find Harrison. I spot the punch bowl, I go over and get a cup assuming it doesn't have any alcohol in it because of Olivia's pregnancy, but I smell it to check.

"It doesn't have any alcohol in it if you were wondering." Olivia says startling me making me almost spill my drink.

"Jeez. Some day your going to kill me."

She laughs. "Oh games start in a few minutes in the living room."

"Okay." I take a sip of the fruity drink. "Mm. Have you seen Harrison?" I ask her

"Uh. Actually I'm pretty sure he went outside to take a call not to long ago." Olivia says filling her cup.

I sigh, "I missed him."

"He's coming back in." She chuckles then taking a sip of her drink and walking away.
