Chapter Twenty

We lay back down and continue to tan. I keep a hand on my bag.

A few minutes past before my timer goes off. "Flip." I tell her we both flip and I restart the timer.

I fall asleep.

"Tess." Olivia says shaking me, "Tess!" She yells

I open my eyes, "Mm what." I rub my eyes.

"The alarm is going off."

"Already?" I rub the sleepiness out of my eyes.

"Do you want to go in the water now?" She asks

"Yeah sure."

We both get up and I pick up our towels.

We walk past the buggy and I watch as Olivia winks at Jake. I chuckle rolling my eyes playfully, "Oh Olivia." Jake only smirks at her.

"Oi Eyes on the water mate." Harries says.

I giggle.

Once we get to north end I hide my bag under my towel and hit the water with Olivia.

"Hey Black Cloud." I smile waving to who's nick man used to be Mouse. Honestly I liked Mouse better. "Deano."

"Hey Tess." Mouse says

"Hey sunshine." Deano greets

I smile then follow my friend into the water.

I splash Olivia, she squeals.

She pushes me and I fall into the water laughing. I stand up and splash her again.

Then I dive under a wave to avoid her. I resurface to see Olivia drifting outside the flags. "Uh oh. Olivia! Swim diagonally!" I shout

She looks over at me. "What!?"

She obviously doesn't know she's in trouble.

"Olivia duck!" I yell a surfer coming towards her. She quickly goes underwater and the surfer does a 360 in the air and landing it.

I look for her to rise. It's takes a few seconds before she does but now she's farther South the rip taking her out to sea.

"Shit." I quickly swim in and go to get a board but I already see Jake going in. "Well I guess she accidentally got what she wanted."

Olivia's P.O.V

I hear my friend shout something but I couldn't quite understand. "What?" I shout.

"Olivia duck!" She yells I look behind me to see a surfer coming my way.

I yelp and go underwater quickly for a few seconds making sure he's gone. I resurface to see that I'm farther away from the flags. "Well shit how am I supposed to get back there." I try to swim back to the flags but a wave crashes over my head I quickly breathe in before going under the water.

I wave my arm to one of the lifeguards I can't really tell where I am now my eyes burning from the salty waters.

My legs are starting to get tired so I use my arms, but it's not long before they tire out too.

I quickly wipe my eyes and then I feel a strong arm pull me out of the water. "Oh thank goodness." I rub my eyes from the salt water to see it's the lifeguard that I had my eye on earlier.

"Hop on. Face the front legs on either side of me." He directs.

I looked up to see the shirtless Lifeguard, Damn he has it going on.. I thought as I looked at all his tattoos that covered his chest, muscly biceps, and arms, then stopped at his abs.

I snap out of it and give him a nod and get on almost slipping off cause of the sunscreen I put on before waking Tessa up. He puts a hand on my waist and pulls me down closer to his body. My cheeks flush feeling the warmth of his body above mine.

We catch a wave in and he lens back on the board slowing it down. I get off, "Thank you." I tell him.

"No problem. Just stay between the flags." He say chuckling.

"Hey now I was in between the flags before I drifted out to sea." I tell him.

He only chuckles.

"See ya around." I tell him my eyes traveling down his muscular body.

I right my number in the wet sand, "Better write my number down before it washes away." I tell him.

"Olivia! Oh my god Olivia are you okay?!" My best friend shouts

I turns around and smile. "Yeah I'm totally fine thanks to Jake here." I tell her.

Tessa's P.O.V

We make our way back to my Jeep but we stop at the tower now that I know Harrison isn't on the sand.

I knock on the open door. Maxi and Harrison look at me. "Maxi, Harrison. I want you to meet my best friend, Olivia."

She greets them with a smile, "So you're the Harrison she's been talkin all about." She smirks, "And you guys are like a thing now."

I hit her arm and smile at them.

"Is that right." Maxi says looking at me then Harrison. "I knew you guys would finally get together." Maxi says before looking into his binoculars again.

"Well anyways I we don't want to keep you." I say grabbing Olivias arm and pulling in.

A dizzy spell washes over me I Black out. I open my eyes to see myself on the floor. "Tess! You alright."

I groan. "Y-Yeah." He helps me up. "I don't know what exactly happen." I tell my worried Boyfriend. "I ate and drank lots of water today I don't know what has gotten into me..."

"Maybe the heat just got to you or you're just tired." Olivia states

"Yeah probably both." I laugh lightening the mood.

"How about I drive and you just show me where to go?" Olivia asks, "No how about we get some food from the Bucket List place that I hear you love?"

"Yeah sounds like a plan."
