Chapter Fifty Four

Tessa's P.O.V

My eyes slowly open, I quickly sit up. I look around to see that I'm in Jake's room. The sun shines through the curtains.

I hear the door open I jump a bit.

"Your awake." Jake says smiling

"What happened?" I ask my memory fuzzy, my head pounds I groan.

"A guy put something in your drink but I got to him before he did anything."

I blink a couple of times, "Thanks for saving me."

"No problem. I didn't want to bring you home because Harrison would probably never let you out of his sight, so I texted him that you drank quit a bit last night and passed out on the couch." He smiles

"Thanks Jake." I smile, "What a way to start the Christmas break." I laugh

Jake laughs, "Definitely. I'm glad I got to you." He smiles, "I should probably get you home." Jake says,  "but first do you want something to eat?"

"Sure." I slip off the bed following him into the kitchen. "Good thing I'm on afternoons." I chuckle, "Ow.." I hold my head not a good idea to laugh.

Jake chuckles softly, "I'm glad I'm on Afternoons too. Imagine just waking up in my room with no explanation. That would be a disaster. But yet again I would probably not leave you like that."  Jake says handing me a cup of water.

"No aspirin?" I ask sitting on a stool of the island.

"It's probably better if you don't who knows if that drug is still in your system. I wouldn't take any chances on how it will react with the aspirin."

"True.." I squint shielding my eyes from the bright sun. I didn't know how thirsty I was until my lips hit the water, I drink gulps of it.

"Whatever he gave you definitely dehydrated you." Jake says chuckling at me.

I put the glass down, "Sorry." I laugh feeling a bit embarrassed my cheeks warm.

"Nothing to be embarrassed about," Jake chuckles. "So what would you like for breakfast?"

"Do you have waffles?" I ask

"Yes actually. You good with blueberry?" He pauses, "That was a stupid question, you love blueberry walffles." He chuckles pulling the freezer door open of his French door fridge.

I give him a smile, "How do you know me so well." I joke

"Hm. I wonder how I do too." He says putting his free hand on his chin pondering.

I giggle and he smiles, chucking as he pushing the freezer door shut with his leg, then popping two waffles in the toaster.

"Your not eating any?" I ask

"Oh no I already ate." He smiles

"I see...so how are you doing without Olivia?" I ask.

"Sad. But I'm hopeful that she comes back soon." Jake smiles

"So your willing to wait for her?" I ask, "Even though she lives in England."

"Yup." He smiles

"Now that's dedication." I tell him taking a sip of my water. "Mm." I put my cup down swallowing, "Did she tell you that she's not coming on Christmas break."

"What?!" Jake squeaks

"Yeah said that their making her work on Christmas break. Like who does that?!"

"Hoppo." Jake snickers getting out butter and syrup putting it on the counter in front of me.

I laugh, "Well I can see why he does."

"Honestly I love working at the beach on Christmas it's chaotic yes but it's also pretty awesome."

"You can say that again," I laugh

The toaster puts, Jake grabs them putting them on a plate. "You're waffles  Mademoiselle." Jake says putting the plate, a fork and butter knife in front of me.

"Thank you." I smile I put butter on it and pour syrup over the warm waffles.

I cut a piece and take a bite I hum as I tasted the sweet and salty taste in my mouth with a splash of blueberry.

"I should get these more often..." I tell him as I finish my bite.

Jake chuckles.

Jake parks in the parking lot of my apartment.

"Thanks for driving me back to my apartment Jake." I smile giving him a hug once my seat belt is off.

"Yeah no problem Tess, and sorry about last night."

I pull away and laugh, "No it's okay. All that matters is that you kept from anything happening." I smile, "I could trust you with my life."

He seethes through this teeth, "I don't know that's bad gambling."

I laugh hitting him playfully, he chuckles.

"Well I had a wonderful Morning anyways."

"Same." He smiles

"See ya at work." I smile getting out of the car.

"Yeah see ya Tess."

I smile closing the door and giving a wave before heading up the stairs.

I unlock my apartment door and open it. I see Harrison pasted out on the couch I stick my bottom lip out as I see his sleeping figure. "Awe."

I don't want to awake him as he still has a couple of hours left until having to go to work as well as I. So I decide to take a little nap too.

A week passes and it's finally Christmas! Harrison had went to Maxi's place because he said that he had something for Harrison and told me that he'll drive him to work so I dropped him off at Maxi's.

I get to Bondi and park in the parking lot. In my Jeep I put my rudolf makeup on as I'm going to be in the tower with Matt Dee. Maxi and Harrison are down at North corner to pick up Reidy from his Santa visit.

I put red water proof paint on my nose and put a loose red reindeer collar on with big bells then put my antlers on.

I get into the tower to see Matt and Reidy who is in a Santa suit and getting a snorkel.

Reidy looks at me and he smiles, "See now that's Christmas spirit! You look fantastic!" He chuckles

I giggle, "Thanks Reidy." I smile, "So your the Santa this year ay?"

"You got that right! and I'm doing something new, I'm gonna come from the water with my trusty snorkel."

"Ugh I love your energy." I smile. I spot a bright green belt strap around his waist. "Is that supposed to keep your pants from falling?" I ask

"Yup." He smiles

"You know they might just fall anyways." I chuckle

"Well I'm trusting it. Well would love to chat more but I gotta get goin."

I smile, "Don't drown now." I chuckle patting his back as he walks past me.

"Try my best." He gives a wink before leaving.

I beam as I walk up the stairs in the tower and sit beside Matt Dee. "Hia Matt." I greet

"Hey Tess." He greets giving a smile then looking through the binos.

I do the same picking mine up and looking through them, "How's your Christmas so far?" I asking smile Christmas my most favourite Holiday other then Halloween.

"Well, pretty calm so far. But it's only just starting."

"This is true."
