Chapter Seven

Whippet's P.O.V (up in the tower)

"South to Central we have two swimmers out back here." I hear Deano tell the three of us.

"Copy. I'll keep watch of the water."

I watch the water around Tess. When I spot a surfer come in behind her she leans over to protect the girl.

I watch as the surfer runs into her shoulder it was all a spur of the moment.

"Shit!" I grab my radio, "Central to Bondi. Lifeguard down, in backpackers rip. We're going to need back up." I tell them.

"Copy we're going down." I hear Harris voice.

That new tower in North end has helped by keeping extra eyes.

I watch as Deano pulls her out the water her body looking limp. Deano waves his arm signaling for a possible resus.

"We got a possible resus." I tell Gonzo, "Keep watch as I bring the Defib down." I tell him

"Okay."

Deano's P.O.V

I paddle as fast as I can keeping my eyes on where I just saw her go under.

I see her figure in the water. I jump off my board. "Hold my board." I tell the two swimmers.

I swim towards her body and grab her lifted arm as her eyes close and bobbles start to leave her mouth. I pull her arm and put it around the back of my neck. I kick my legs the rip seeming to be less strong.

I get to the surface to the board. I put her half on the board and hold her.

I see as Harrison and Harries paddle towards me. "Take her to shore." I tell Harries giving her to him.

"Harrison help me bring these two in. And I'll get the board after." I tell him and he nods.

I hop back on my board and tell the girl to get on.

Harrison's P.O.V

After I bring the man in and I tell him to swim between the flag I run over to Tessa.

"She's breathing but it's faint." Harries tells me lifting her head from her mouth.

"Her arm is dislocated." I point out talking to more myself thinking that Harries already knows.

"Can you get the Oxy."

I nod and grab oxygen mask from in the defib.

I put it on her mouth and 'breathe' for her.

4 minutes later for what seems like years her eyes flutter open.

She doesn't cough up any water which means Deano got to her in time. "Your alright your on the sand. Deano got to you in time." She groans putting a hand on her arm shoulder. "You dislocated your shoulder and we have someone coming in to fix it for you."

"Okay.." She says quietly

"Are you good enough to walk to the buggie? We're gonna bring you up to the tower and give you the green whistle." Harries tells her and she nods.
