Chapter 101

I lean on Maxi's shoulder for a softer, but firm surface.

"You better not drool on me." He says

"No promises." I sigh as my eyelid feel heavy, I close them.

"Sleeping on the job are we?" I jump hearing Hoppo's vioce

I sit up straight, "I was only resting my eyes sir." I notice Maxi gone

"Want to help Maxi with the flags?" Hoppo asks

"Uh, oh right yeah. The flags."

I get up and go down the beach to help. I hold the sign as Maxi bigs fills the whole.

I slowly start to close my eyes.

"Okay pat it down." Maxi orders

I open my eyes and pat the sand with my feet a bit then Maxi continues to fill it.

"Ugh I feel like crap." I mutter as I rest my head on the post.

"Don't we all somedays." Maxi says as he shovels the last scoop.

I pat it down and see go and do the others.

Once finished I sigh with relief as we sit down in the buggie.

He starts to drive up to he tower. My head swirls a bit and my stomach turns, I start to feel a bit hot.

"Maxi, I really don't feel good." I hold my stomach.

"Your not gonna spew are ya?" Maxi asks

I feel my eyes roll back into blackness my body falling to right.

Maxi's P.O.V

I look over at her and just like that she's unconscious her eyes roll back. She quickly falls to her right the wrong way to be falling.

"Woah, woah!" I grab her shirt and save her from falling out of the buggie, I slam on the brakes. "Tess can you hear me?" I pick her up and lay her on the sand. I listen to her breathing and it's there but a little shallow.

I roll her into the recovery position. I put my leg to her back and rub her sternum. She groans, "I know it hurts but you have to stay awake for me."

"Is she alright!" I hear Hoppo ask as he comes over quickly.

"She's passed out." I tell him, "Tess." I rub her sternum again, "You gotta stay awake."

she groans, "No I wanna sleep..." She mumbles, "So tired..."

"I'm not taking any chances."

"Hoppo can you call the Ambo."

He only nods and goes back to the tower.

"Tessa!" I hear Harrison yell I look to my right to see him running over from putting the flags up in North. "What the hell happened?" He asks out of breath.

"She passed out. I'm not sure if it's because of the lack of sleep or something more then that. Maybe both. Hoppo is calling the ambulance."

"Oh good. I mean she did eat and everything this morning the only thing is she didn't get a wink of sleep." Harrison tells me.

I see her eyes closed again. "Tessa, stay awake for me." I rub her sternum again but this time she's not groaning or moving. "She was responding a few seconds ago. Tess." I shake her body lightly.

Tessa's P.O.V

I feel my body on a soft comfortable bed.

I open my eyes slowly the bright light lights blinding me. I groan putting a hand up to shield my eyes.

"Here I'll turn them down." I hear Harrison voice say instantly the lights dim.

"Ugh that's much better." I look over at Harrison.

"shouldn't you be at work?" I ask softly

"My shift is finished."

"What? What time is it?" I ask I look out the window by turning my head the over way. The sun is disappearing behind the horizon.

"8:56 PM."

I look at him, "Holy shit really?"

"Yup."

"How's the baby?" I ask quickly putting a hand on my stomach.

"The Baby is fine." Harrison says

"You just needed an IV bag and some rest." He says putting his hand in mine. "I want you to go to bed earlier then usual okay? I don't want this to happen again."

"Alright, alright." He kisses me on the cheek, "So when can I leave the hospital?"

"Well the Doctor says whenever you wake up. You were hydrated a long time ago."

"Oh good. I can sleep in my bed." I throw the sheets off to see my still in my uniform. "Oh they didn't take my uniform off."

"They said that they really didn't need too and that you weren't really wearing tight clothes."

"Oh good. I don't want them recking my uniform again." I laugh,

Harrison chuckles, "We don't want that."

I get up and lip on my thongs.

Once home Harrison and I eat some delivery food as he can't cook and I'm too tired to even bother to make something.

After we ate we headed to bed and I snuggle up to my fiancée putting my head on his firm chest.

A week later and it's the physical test at the Icebregs.

I get changed in the girls room as usual it's only me.

I put my usual one piece on and keep my goggles and swim cap in hand

I come out and see most of the boys my heart is in my throat.

"How are you feeling about this test?" One of the camera crew asks Chapo

"Really good, I'm always really nervous. Done about three poos, I don't like this."

I giggle and Chappo looks at me and the camera guy turns to me.

"What about you?"

"It's nerve racking that's for sure, I mean one of us might leave." I tell him, "I heard Matt Dee has a fever, I hope he makes it through the test."

He nods and goes to interview someone else.

Soon we're ready to do the test.

I get onto the block it feels like everything has gone slow motion as I step onto the board.

I try to calm my breathing.

"On your mark....set." Deano blows the air horn and I dive in with a few others in the other lanes.

I start front crawling as fast as I can.
