Chapter Sixty Nine

I sigh as I make my way to my Jeep that I thankfully brought today because of Harrison's early shift and my afternoon one.

I unlock my Jeep, I feel a vibration in my back pocket. I take my phone out to see a text from Maxi.

Harrison seems to be staying at my place. I talked to him he knows all the dets on the important parts. He doesn't know I'm texting you, so I gtg.

I type on the keyboard,

Okay. Thank you Maxi for talking to him, don't know what I would do without you...

I press send.

It delivers and I wait for him to see it but nothing comes up knowing he turned his phone off. I turn my phone off and put it back in my pocket and get in my Jeep.

I sit down and put my seatbelt on. I feel my phone vibrate and I take it out of my pocket.

No problem Giggles, only for a good friend 😉🙃

Maxi's text says. I smile glad to have him as a good friend.

I put my phone on the seat next to me face down.

I sigh, putting the keys in the ignition and starting my Jeep, it hums softly.

Maxi's P.O.V

I send the last text real quick.

"I mean like wouldn't you be mad if it was your girlfriend who did this to you?!" Harrison goes on.

I turn my phone off and turn it over putting it in my front pocket and look at him in the kitchen, from on the couch.

He builds a sandwich.

"Well I guess so mate. But I would think about what she did right. Like telling you about it, she could've just kept it to herself, but she told you. And she told you how guiltily she felt and that it truly didn't mean anything to her."

I see Harrison roll his eyes. "Why are you feeling me this again?"

"Because it's not gettin through your thick skull mate." I tell him a little louder.

Theirs a moment of silence as I wait for him to respond but he only continues to build his sandwich.

"She feels guilty mate, which means she has strong feelings for you and knew how wrong it was. Would you rather her not feel guilty? Meaning she doesn't have feelings for you? Hm?" I question.

I hear him sigh loudly.

"Well if she still has feeling she would call."

I laugh, "Mate, you told her not to call." I face palm. "Or even speak to you at work. How in the bloody hell is she going to show? Isn't what she done to prove she was good enough?"

He looks at me putting his slice of bread on his sandwich to finish it off.

"Still doesn't defeat the face that she cheated."

"Mate. She didn't cheat, cheating would be constantly doing it behind your back without you knowing. Not one..drunken mistake. I'm sure you had a drunken mistake weather that be mooning someone or not." I snicker a bit that he mooning part but tried to keep a straight face.

He comes over with his sandwich on a plate and sits down beside me, not happy.

"Can we just relax and watch some tv? I don't want to talk about Tessa." He says

I sigh, "Alright." I breathe after getting the remote from the coffee table then laying my back on the couch. I click on the tv.

Tessa's P.O.V

I sigh loudly throwing myself on my bed I look up at the ceiling.

"Oh come on Tessa." Olivia tells me, "Call the boy."

"I told you that he didn't want me to call."

She throws my phone at me and it hits my boob. "Ow!" I lift my head to look at her cupping a hand on my boob.

"Oop," She snorts, "Sorry."

"Sure you are." I roll my eyes then put my head back down. Then lift it again, "It's easier for Jake to forgive you if you drunkenly kiss a guy because you have his baby in your uterus." I point out

"Oi!" She throws my deodorant at me from on my dresser.

It hits my face.

"Ow! That actually hurt!" I tell her rubbing my mouth where it hit, it feeling like pins and needles.

"Well you deserved it for that comment." She squints

"Did not! It's only a common fact!" I tell her sitting up.

"Well I won't have it." She says sticking her nose up, turning her face away and putting her hands on her hips, her 1 and a half month old baby bump showing.

"Can we just watch some tv and not think about Harrison and how I screwed up our relationship please?" I ask

"Nope. You're gonna do some pregnancy yoga with me."

I groan rolling my eyes as I get up, "I'm not pregnant though."

"I don't care. Your still doing then with me." She takes my hand and pulls me making a weird noise come out of my mouth which sounds like Toadette's surprised sound.

The next day, three days until New Years Eve and Harrison is still not talking to me....

I look at him and give a half smile when he enters the tower to get put his lunch in the fridge.

"Hey Harrison...." I say trying to not to break

He ignores me.

Or even look at me...

Reidy Frowns with question at Harrison form, from beside me.

"Hey Hutz." Harries greets as he comes in form behind him.

"Hey Harries." He smiles.

My heart squeezes, I drop my fake happy mood and look down. Blinking back tears, I grab the binoculars and look into them out to the water.

"How ya doin?" Harries continues

"Pretty good actually." He says

I shrink. Tears fill the lens a little but enough to blur my vision.

"That's wonderful! Ready to patrol North?" He asks him

"Sure am."

I hear the door close behind them, the air conditioning being on.

Knowing he's gone I take the binos away and dry the lens, then quickly wipe my tears away. I look at Reidy to make sure he does see.

I continue to look out of them.

"What's up with you and Harrison?" Reidy suddenly asks after a moment of silence hearing Harrison's laugh from outside the Tower.

"Me and Harrison? Oh we're fine." I lie putting a fake smile on my lips trying not to quiver them.

"Why didn't he respond to you then?"

"Oh, he must've not heard me." I chuckle faking all the happiness that comes out of me.

My bottom lip quivers a bit and I bite down on it making it stop.
