Chapter 113

"You keep an eye on the water Harries, Hoppo is on his way now." I pick her up in my arms and carry her over to the medical bed with the oxy in hand.

I rub my knuckles against her sternum, "Tess can you hear me?"

Hoppo rushes in the door, "Is she responding?"

I look at Hoppo seeing worry written all over his face. "Nothing yet." I tap her face, "Tess. Tessa." I rub her sternum again and I hear her groan in pain.

"You go help out Harries keep an eye on the water I'll stay with her."

"But—." Hoppo cuts me off with a stern look in his eyes. "Okay." I frown in worry as I walk away from her.

I hear Hoppo says her name a couple of more times as I make my way up the steps.

Tessa's P.O.V

I feel pain in my chest as I hear muffled voices, I groan in pain.

My eyes slowly open, my vision blurred. Soon my eyes focus on my god father, "Bruce?" I question my vision still a bit blurry.

"Yes, are you alright?"

Tears start to well in my eyes from the trauma of Hayden, "No.." I chew on my bottom lip trying not to break down, I sit up swinging my feet over the medical bed taking of the oxy mask.

I look into Hoppo's worried eyes as they search my face for answer, "He tried to rape me." I finally blurt out, I start to sob. I feel Hoppo's arms wrap around me. "I was so scared Hop." I nozzle my face into his chest hugging him back.

"Chappo and the police are going to find him and make in pay for what he did."

I feel him rub my back hugging me tightly, I sob into his shirt.

Chappo's P.O.V

I run out the tower searching for Hayden, a group of joggers block my view. I stretch over them trying to look for the monster.

I jog around the pavilion trying to spot him. I hear my radio go off, "Central to Chap, police are on there way now, about 5 minutes mate." Jake's voice sounds through it.

I bring it up to my mouth, "Copy that mate."

My eyes search around the pavilion and the park, my body tense.

Soon my eyes spot him, "There you are you little bugger." I look at him as he makes his way up the park hill. I start to jog towards him, he hasn't spotted me yet.

I start to run full speed as I get closer to him, "Oi mate!" I shout making him turn around just to make sure it's him. It's him alright.

He tries to make a run for it, but I tackle him to the ground. He try's to kick and squirm out of my grip, "Oh no you don't mate."

"Let me go you cunt!" He curses breaking free of my grip, he trys to make a swing but I dodge it.

A couple of samaritans come and help out as they hold him down as well. "Let me go you fucks!" He curses again

"I would clam down mate." I tell him, It takes 3 people including me to keep him down.

I see the police and I wave them down and they make their way up the hill.

"We've been looking for you for a long time." One of the policeman says to Hayden who is face down on the ground.

"Fuck you, you low life filth!" He manages to kick the officers leg.

He fights against the three of us as the copper handcuffs him, "You just added to your time."

"Your under arrest for sexual assault, anything you say or do will be used in evidence against to in the court of law." The police pick him up standing him on his feet.

He scowls at me, and mouths at me the words, I will kill you.

I put a hand on my ear, "What was that?"

"I said I will kill you, you fucking cunt!" He growls.

"Now you're harassing a lifeguard, good for you, that will sure help in court." The police officer says, "Come on." He grabs his arm pulling him down the hill towards the divvy van.

I radio the tower, "We got him boys."

I make my way back down to the tower, I enter the door and Tessa runs to me.

She gives me a big hug, "Thank you so much Chappo, you saved my life."

I return the hug, "Anything for you giggles."

She gives me a smile with tear soaked eyes.

Tessa's P.O.V

"What a relief!" I hear Jake say from his seat, "That guy was such an asshole."

I chuckle as I let go of Chappo and wipe my eyes. "I feel like I can breathe again." I sniffle, "It's all thanks to you Chap,"

He gives me a wink, "Any day giggles."

Hoppo walks over to me, "I know your break is technically over, but I'll give you an extra 30 minutes just so you can calm yourself down and maybe drink some water."

"Thanks Hop, you're the best." I give him a side hug and he smiles down at me.

"But I want all of you working!" He demands the boys in blue only having a soft spot for me.

I laugh and he gives a friendly wink and smiles big, "I'll be in my office if you need anything." He tells me, I nod and he walks out the back door.

"Lucky duck." Chappo jokes. "Come on, let's sit down." He leads me with a hand on my shoulder.

I sit down on my swivel chair taking a deep breath, "I can't believe it's finally over." I smile to myself as I take a bag of shape-o's out from my lunch bag.

"I'm glad you're safe." Jake tells me giving his kind smile.

"And I'm glad you're alright, love." Harries says giving a squeeze to my shoulder.

"I love you guys." I smile looking at all of them
