Chapter 120

I dare not to look behind me as I run, swerving around the walls trying to loose him.

I quickly turn a corner and slam my back against it waiting for Jesse to run by.

My breathing heavy, I try to slow it down.

Jesse runs past me quickly I try to shoot, but he's to quick.

I feel a vibration on my chest, I've been shot. I turn around to see Jesse. Does he teleport?

He laughs sticking his tongue out, "can't catch me mate." He runs off.

I've never seen this side of him before. It's scary.

I hide behind a different wall, my feet light as feathers.

I hear the sound of someone else getting shot, Maxi's laugh soon coming afterwards.

I sneak around for a while and I hear pattering foot steps and heavy breathing.

I prepare my gun, walking low.

Soon I swing around hitting Maxi, "Awh Mate. I had a good streak!" He pouts looking at his now two lives.

I run away laughing, "You can't catch me."

"Whoever loses buys the beers!!!!" Maxi screams then running after me.

"Oi! I'm not supposed to be paying!" I shout try to run from the speed of his long legs.

"I reckon you shouldn't lose then, you got 5 more seconds before it reloads!" He tells me

My heart races with adrenaline, I again swerve around the walls. I look at my gun and it still has 8 seconds to go.

Once my gun is reloaded, I drop to the floor and roll, then face Maxi. I grin mischievously I watch as Maxi's eyes widen, I pull the trigger and hear the sound of one life being taken away.

I quickly get up before he has a chance to shoot me back, but he knicks me on the shoulder as I feel the vibration.

Maxi laughs evilly, "You thought!"

I squint my eyes at him, then I see Jesse sneaking behind him. I smirk evilly.

Maxi raises his eyebrows in question, he turns around and Jesse shoots him, the sound of his vest goes off loud and the room goes red for a moment.

"Nooo!!!!" He cry's out as he drops to his knees

"Karma." I snicker, "Guess you're buying."

Jesse howls with laughter, he still has 3 lives left. I'm assuming Jake has 1 life as well.

I run off not wanting to stay around for too long I look down and see only 1 life left.

After what feels like 5 minutes it's silent. I look at the  clock and only 15 minutes remaining.

I'm unsure to move from my safe spot, a trickle of sweat runs down my face.

"Oh Jaaakeee, Harrisoonnnn." Jesse calls out, his voice hair raising even though it's just a game. It sends chills down my back.

Jake slams against the wall beside me, I jump almost dropping my gun.

"You go that way. I go this way." Jake points, his whisper almost silent.

I give a stern nod, even though we aren't supposed to team up. But what he doesn't know can't hurt him.

I keep my back against the wall as I walk towards where I heard Jesse's voice last.

Soon I hear the sound of someone's vest going off.

"You're gonna wish you didn't do that." Jesse's voice breaks the silence.
