Chapter Seventy Three

Tessa's P.O.V

Once Reidy was finished he went down to North to join Maxi. Good thing we weren't supposed to patrol South.

I grab the binos, "Feel better now that, that 15 millimeter glass is out of your leg. At least it was wide." He whistles, "Definitely should need stitches."

Yes. We measured it.

"No kidding."

"You alright?" I hear Harrison ask his voice small.

A smile grows on my lips, I look at him he still look through the binoculars.

"I'm good now." I beam my heart fluttering. "Thanks you asking." Say happily a giggle escaping my lips.

I close my mouth quickly and look out the binos.

"You guys are so love gooey."

I laugh, "Jealous? You'll find someone Jesse."

"Pfft. Who would want a Bra Boy?" He asks, "The "destructive" group."

"Well obviously they didn't meet you." I tell him, "Because your not like that at all. You've been my good friend for like a season now."

"That was actually really kind of you to say." Jesse says

"Well I mean if it doesn't work out you always have millions of fans. Just find one your age." I joke

After work I unzip a small pocket of my bag.

I put my hand in and tell the cold touch of metal. I loop my finger and around the circle and pull the keys out.

I sigh looking down at my dad's house keys, my heart squeezing in my chest. I tighten my grip on the keys and lean on my Jeep looking out at the beach. The sun painting the sky multiple tints of orange.

A light breeze hits my face, I breathe in the fresh salty air hearing seagulls squawking flying by over the ocean.

I really don't want to go to the house alone. I should probably go tomorrow on my day off.

I get in my Jeep and start the engine, then pull out of the parking space.

I grip on the keys deciding weather or not too unlock the door to the Beach House.

I bite my bottom lip nervously as I put the key to the lock. I breathe a shaky breath, even seeing the house was hard how the hell am I supposed to do this?!

My hand shakes a bit but I mange to get the key in the lock.

I turn the key and push open the door. It slowly opens showing more of the familiar house as it does.

I choke back tears as I step in closing the door behind. All the memories I tried so hard to forget so I don't hurt, rush back.

"You can't catch me!" My 6 year old self says running away I watch as she does.

"The tickle monster is gonna get you." My mum says as runs behind me.

My dad blocks my path, "What you gonna do now?" He says, he puts his hands out moving his fingers like my mum, "I'm a tickle monster too."

I screech with laughter as the two of them tickle me. I squeal in a fit of giggles.

The visual memory fades away and taking the lively and happy feel with it.
