Chapter Eight

I watch as Whippet and Harrison put the flags down from on the metal stairs. The low sun hits my face I gaze at the sunset.

"What ya thinkin?" I jump as Harrison is now in front of me.

"I'm thinking of what Hayden will do once I tell him that I don't love him anymore and want his abusive aurse out of my apartment."

"Well I'll make sure he won't do anything."

"I don't know maybe I should just move and let him stay there and realize that he needs a life."

"You'll still have to get your stuff."

I sigh knowing he's right, "True."

"You ready?" He asks sticking out his hand, I grab it and pull myself up off the metal stairs

"Not really."

He chuckles, "Don't worry." He tells me as I go down the stairs with him.

"Says the one who doesn't have a abusive boyfriend." I tell him jogging up the cement stairs. I unlock my car and get in and he gets in the passenger seat.

I put my seat belt on and put the keys in the ignition. "I'm your body guard I'll make sure he doesn't at a hand on you."

I look at him as I turn the keys making the car start. "Thanks Harrison."

Once parked we head up to my apartment.

Harrison waits outside the door and after I unlock the door I give him the keys

"Where the HELL were you for these past days!" Hayden yells

"I stayed at a friend's house." I tell him my heart pounding in my chest.

"Bullshit." He pushes me and my heel trips over the attachment of the vacuum cleaner. My butt hits the floor hard.

I get up, "Thats it! OUT! OUT HAYDEN!" I scream, "I HAD it with you! You better be out of here as well as your stuff when I come back." I angrily tell him

I turn to walk away and he grabs my arm. "Where do you think your going baby." He says a smirk playing on his lips.

"I'm giving you time to GET your stuff OUT of MY APARTMENT." I try to pull my arm away but he holds it tighter. "Let go of me!" I tell him angrily pulling my arm.

"Fine." He let's go of me by throwing me. My head hits the metal door frame hard. Everything goes black just for a couple of moments.

"Tessa!" Harrison shouts

Harrison's P.O.V

I kneel down beside Tessa looking at her head which isn't bleeding. I sigh a breath of relief.

"So your the guy she's been with every time she's late." Tessa's boyfriend asks slurring.

"You have no right to touch her and abuse her." I say sternly getting up.
I roll my sleeves up, "I'm not going to let you lay another hand on her."

"Are you supposed to scare me?" He laughs I can smell the stench of beer on his breath 6 ft away from him.

"Maybe two against one will." I look behind me to see Maxi at the door and to see Tessa gone.

Tessa's P.O.V

I groan my head feeling like a heavy weight.

My vision clears a little still a little blurry I feel strong arms carrying me. "Harrison?" I ask

"Not quite." Jesse's voice says.

I strain my neck, "Jesse? What are you doing here?"

"Getting you to a hospital."

"I don't need one." I tell him.

He chuckles, "Saying the one who was unconscious on the floor."

I groan, my head pounding. I put my head down on his shoulder. "Your right....Wait! What about Harrison?!" I ask worryingly.

"Maxi is with him. They can kick his arse if they try anything."

I giggle my smile fades when the giggling makes my head worse. "Ow."

Jesse only laughs.

"How did you guys find my place?"

"Well Harrison told Maxi about what you guys were going to do and the address slipped out of his mouth."

"I see." My vision starts to blur a little my head swirling. I groan.

"Are you doing okay?" Jesse asks

My eyes roll back my head lolling off his shoulder.

"Tessa. hey Tessa stay with me."

Harrison's P.O.V

Hayden looks at Maxi's tall figure.

"Do we have a problem here? Did you not hear Tessa's directions?" Maxi asks crossing his arms and leaning on the door frame quirking and eyebrow.

"U-Uh n-no."

"Good." Maxi says

"Like Tessa said, better have your stuff out of here before she gets back." I walk out the door closing it behind me.

"Where's Tessa anyways?"

"Jesse has her." Maxi tells me. "He's bring her to the hospital."

We park out side the hospital and get inside.

"I'm looking for Tessa Breechwood." I tell the receptionist.

"Ah yes Tessa she came in not to long ago. Just wait in the waiting room the doctor will give you an up date."

"Maxi, Harrison." We turn around to face Jesse.

"How is she?" I ask maybe she woke up before he got her to the hospital.

"Well she did regain consciousness when I was carrying her out but then she lost consciousness again." Jesse tells us.

"Shit." I mutter

A Doctor comes out I perk up waiting for her name to be said as maybe the third one is her doctor.

"Tessa Breechwood." I get up quickly

"Yes over here. How is she?"

"Well she has a mildly severe concussion. She has no internal bleeding, but I don't think she should be working for a couple of days considering she works as a lifeguard. But if there is a less active part of the job then it's alright." He hands me a paper to give to the boss. "Give this to her boss. She can go home tomorrow morning and visiting hours are over so you can't see her."

"Okay thank you."

He smiles before walking off.

I turn to see both Jesse and Maxi right behind me, I jump.

"Well..I have to give Hoppo this paper tomorrow."
