Chapter Seventy Eight

I give my boyfriend another kiss on the lips outside Jake's house.

"Oh. By the way. I'm going to my parents place Thursday to Sunday. I already talked to Hoppo and stuff about it. Closer to winter I get to stay for about 15 or so days."

"What for? To visit?"

"Yeah I'm going to visit them for a couple of days."

"Oh okay." I try to hide my sadness.

"And I was wondering if you would like to come? They do want to meet you. My mum is especially excited." He chuckles

"I can?"

"Well I kinda said that I would talk to you about it today."

"So you were on the phone with your mum."

"Why who did you think I was on the phone with Silly." He teases nudging me.

I blush with embarrassment. "Another girl...maybe your new girlfriend."

"What?! You know I can never replace you." He says giving a chuckle

I blush. "Now let's head inside." Harrison says standing and sticking out his hand. I take it and he pulls me to my feet. "Still have another apology to make." He says

We make our way inside and people are hanging out I can tell their still shocked as their not themselves.

I look around and can't find Chappo. We both walk over to Olivia who is drinking some punch looking tired as hell.

"Heyyy. Nice to see you two made up." She smiles even when she's clearly tired.

"Do you know where Chappo went?" I ask

"Oh, I think he's out back." She tells me

"Thanks." Harrison tells her.

She gives a nod.

"Olivia you should get some rest." I tell her

"No! I am not missing the new year 2014!" She tells me.

"I'll make sure you don't. Go have a rest on the couch, for me please." I tell her

She sighs, "Fine."

"Thank you. The baby thanks you too." I say, I turn to Harrison, "You want me to come with you?" I ask him

He breathes in, "Maybe you should yeah..maybe just close by so I don't do anything."

"Okay."

We slide the back door open and walk out. We see Chappo in a patio chair soft yellow lights hanging on the rails. His mouth in his hand.

He plays with his phone on the table in front of him. Turning it to each corner letting it swing before landing on a corner.

Harrison goes up the steps of the deck. I stay behind.

"Chap...." Harrison starts.

I watch as Chappo sits up, "Hutz. I can't say how terribly I feel..."

"I know. But your not the one who should be apologize right now. I'm sorry for what I said, I didn't mean it..and you definitely didn't deserve it as well as Tess. I can see that you have feeling for Tessa.-"

"Which I shouldn't."

"But you do, and that's okay. Just don't try to ruin her relationship with me."
