Chapter 109

My heart beat quickens, anxiety taking over.

"Babe what ringing?" He asks me again, voice groggy from sleep.

"I keep hearing things. Seeing things. Babe I think something is wrong." I breathe heavily the anxiety attack starting, worried that I might lose this baby again. "I've heard the phone so many times last night and I thought maybe it was....was Hayden messing with me, but if you can hear it then that means im going absolutely fucking crazy."

"Tess calm down. We will book a doctors appointment in the morning, I'm sure that you are okay."

"You sure?" I pant

"Yes," he gives my hand a squeeze, "Now breathe,"

I close my eyes and calm my breathing. I'm okay. I'm fine. I tell myself repeatedly. In with the good, I breathe in, out with the bad.

"That's it." He smiles giving me a comforting hug. I lean into him sighing softly. "Let's go sleep in our bed."

My alarm screams beside me. I groan in frustration as I slam the off button.

I get up looking at the time; 5:30 am. "Way too early." I whisper to myself

I rub my eyes as I get up, heading to the washroom getting ready for the day.

I make a small breakfast but a big lunch so I can eat small portions during the day frequently. I fill my 740 oz brita bottle that i recently got. There's lines to tell me where it should be in a certain time of day.

I bring a pretty big bowl of fruit salads, with sandwiches and a couple of boiled eggs.

After eating just scrambled eggs and toast I drink at least one cup of water with my food like Deano said, before leaving for work.

"Hello boys." I walk into the tower with a smile on my face, but it soon drops as no one is in the tower. My face puzzled I look out to the beach and hear talking by the garage. I pier over the railing in front on the tower, "what are you boys up too?" I ask looking down on Mouse, Harries, Deano, and Maxi.

"The garage door broke while we were getting the buggy out."

They all look at Maxi, "Hey don't look at me."

I giggle covering my mouth. "Hey Tess could you open the shutters into the tower?" Deano asks me

"For sure!" I walk into the tower and drop my stuff off on the counter, opening the shutters

Then I set off helping out with the flags.

After everything is set up I quickly call the doctor and make an appointment for later today which I will go on my break. Then I text Harrison to let him know when to be ready for me to pick him up.

"How you feeling sweetheart?" I hear Deano's voice from behind me.

I turn in my chair to look at the man, "Better I think, i managed to keep breakfast down today so that's a good sign."

"That's great to hear." He gives his kind smile and grabs his things to head to South so the day.

"I hope it's not to crazy today," I tell him before he heads out the door.

"I always hope that." With that he gives a wave and heads down to the buggy.

"Is Chappo coming down today?" I ask Harries who is sitting next to me.

"He should be later, love."

"Yeah he has to fill in for me later today." Maxi starts, "I have a chiropractor appointment. My back has been bugging me. But I should be back for the end of the day. It's only for a couple of hours."

"Oh sorry to hear, back pain sucks. I get back pain sooner or later." I tell him patting on my belly I give a soft chuckle, Maxi soon following after.

"Well that comes with the job of having a baby doesn't it,"

"It sure does," I laugh.
"I have an appointment today as well. " I point out, "But I'll be going on my break so I won't miss any work if you guys were wondering."

"I hope things go okay," Harries gives a smile, I return it.

"Appointment for what?" Maxi asks. "If you don't mind me asking."

"No your good. It's for the doctors. I've been hearing and seeing things."

"Oh that's scary." He pauses, hesitating. "Hearing and seeing what kind of thing?" He waited for me to speak.

"I don't know, I keep hearing the phone ring at night. And...I keep seeing Hayden." The name tasted like a mouthful of food gone bad.

Maxi's and Harries eyes pop out, "I thought he was in jail!" They both say almost at the same time.

"But it could just be hallucinations. There was a really bad one where I thought he broke into my apartment. It felt so real. But once Harrison came over Hayden was gone the door wasn't even open."

Maxi nibbled at a fingernail, "That's unsettling."

"I hope they are just hallucinations because that man is not good." Harries says, his fist balled up tightly.

"I'm sure it's nothing." I point out, trying to reassure myself.

Soon I start to see a couple of surfers reach the beach, our job starts.

After 4 hours I take my break and pick up Harrison.

"Hey," I greet as he opens the car door.

"Hey, how are you feeling?"

"I'm feeling okay, I was able to keep breakfast down today and the snacks I had during work." I tell him as I pull out of the driveway.

"That's good to hear."

Once we get to the doctors which is an easy 10 minute drive from home. I walk up to the desk, "Hi I have an appointment with Dr. Cookson."

"Name?"

"Teresa Breechwood."

"Have a seat, she will be out in a couple of minutes." The medical receptionist tells me, I nod and Harrison and I sit down.

I bite my lip nervously. Harrison sees this and he squeezes my hand giving me a reassuring look.

"Teresa Breechwood." I hear the doctor call my name and I stand.

"My fiancé is allowed to come right?"

"For sure." She gives a small smile

I give Harrison a nervous look.
