Chapter Five

Harrison's P.O.V

"Do you uh..do you have a shirt I could barrow? I don't really want to sleep in just my bra and underwear." I gulp imagining her sleeping in my bed with just in her—"I dropped my lifeguard shirt and shorts in a puddle in the change room." She says snapping me away from my thoughts, I hope I wasn't drooling..

"I-yeah I have something." I stutter, walking to my room not meeting Maxi's eyes knowing that he is just loving every moment of me being so flustered. "I would lend you my lifeguard shorts or something but my other pair are in the wash. I have other shorts but their not really comfortable to sleep in."

"Oh that's okay if you don't have any shorts." She smiles, "I'm good with just one of your shirts."

"O-Okay...oh um I have my lifeguard hoodie." I tell her, "Would you want to wear that or would it be too hot?"

"Uh I think I'll stick with the t-shirt it would be to hot.."

"Okay. Well I have a clean lifeguard shirt. An extra."

"Oh cool yeah that's perfect." She smiles

Seeing her smile makes my stomach do summersaults.

I snap from my day dream and grab the clean shirt and hand it to her.

"Thanks Harrison."

"No problem Tessa." I smile

She yawns, "What time is it anyways?"

I look at my watch, "Almost nine. Why you headed to bed?"

She yawns again, "I don't know, it depends on what you guys are doing."

"Want to watch a movie? We got popcorn." Maxi asks sitting on the on the side of the couch that doesn't have the spring.

"Uh yeah sure." She smiles, "You guys can pick." She sits on the floor in front of the couch and I sit beside her.

I grab a pillow and give it to her. She quirks her eyebrow with question.

"It's for you to sit on. Your but will be sore trust me."

She giggles taking the pillow, "Okay."

"So what movie are ya pickin tonight Maxi?"

"Uhhhh...hm. Do you want to watch some Bondi Rescue?" He smirks, "Its on Netflix." I laugh

"Sure."

"Yeah I'm good with that. Was long was I'm not in it. What season is it?"

"8. Oh okay. That's good. Yeah we can watch it."

I chuckle, "Oh do you want me to wash your uniform?" I ask

"Oh yeah that would be lovely,"

"It has to hang dry though, our drier broke. A guy is coming in tomorrow to fix it."

"Oh that's okay. It will be dry in the morning." She smiles, "I'll go get it."

She runs and gets her uniform and gives it to me. I smile and bring it to the laundry room and put it in the washer.

Then I come back and sit beside her.

After two episodes I feel Tessa's head rest on my shoulder. I look at her to see her fast asleep. A warm feeling puddles in my stomach. I smile.

After the episode ends with the loud 'coming up next on Bondi Rescue' and it startles Tessa.

She lifts her head, "Oh sorry Harrison."

"No it's okay."

"What time is it?" She asks looking for her phone, "Ugh my phone is in my bag."

"It's 12 minutes past midnight."

She yawns, "I better get to bed. You guys to."

She tells us, "Guess we should head to bed." I turn around to see Maxi passed out. Should I awake him or take his bed...hm..nah I'll be nice. I slap Maxi's arm and his head shoots up. "Get off my bed." I chuckle.

"What. Oh." He gets up, "Thought you were sleeping on the floor?" He asks stretching

"Yes I am but I don't want you kicking my head. Plus I thought you didn't like the couch."

He waves his hand half asleep.

"Goodnight Maxi." Tessa tells him sweetly.

"Goodnight Tess, have a good sleep." He says groggily while he suffles to his bedroom.

"You to Maxi."

A yawn sounds from my mouth which makes her yawn.

"Goodnight Harrison." She smiles half asleep.

"Goodnight." I smile, "Hope you get the sleep you need."

"Thank you Harrison." She smiles before heading off to my room.

I get up and get her uniform from out the washer and hang them on the rack.

Tessa's P.O.V

Once I wiggle out my clothes I put Harrison's shirt on.

I grab one of his pillows, "Oh Harrison?" I open the door to see him not by the couch.

He comes out the laundry room and stops in his tracks, "Oh Tess." He says not knowing what to say.

"I just was going to ask, do you want one of your pillows?" I ask

"Uh...uh yeah sure." He gulps looking away.

"Do you have any blankets more then just the couch blanket?" I ask, "How are you going to sleep on the floor?" I ask walking over to the couch. "Oh I know." I bend over a bit to grab the top cushion from over the coffee table. Then I grab the other and put them on the floor.

I move the coffee table farther away then it already was making sure he doesn't hit it.

I move the cushion onto the carpet making a bed out of them.

"There." I smile putting my hands on my hips.

He just stands there.

Harrison's P.O.V

I watch as she bends over to grab the cushion and the shirt lifts a little showing a red laced kickers my face reddens but my eyes don't seem to look off of them.

I swollow a hard lump in my throat.

She bends even more to move the coffee table showing a little more. I go to say something but my mouth closes.

"There." She turns to me with a big smile putting her hands on her hips.

I stand there dumb struck and flustered like crazy.

"U-Uh good idea." I finally spoke out. "Why didn't I think of that?" I tell her nervously rubbing the back of my neck.

"You know I can sleep here if you want me too I really don't mind."

"No you need more of a good sleep then me. But now that you made it more comfortable we both can."

"Okay if you say so."

"Goodnight Tess."

"Goodnight Harrison." She goes in my room and closed the door lightly,

I breathe out not realizing I was holding my breath. "Phew.." I fan my body with my shirt.
