We got the membership card and we made our way up the hills of the park. Doing a 5 minute walk to get there.

We successfully get in the Gym good thing Jake's membership includes a free guest. I quickly get dressed in my work out close.

I go on the rowing machine and Tessa goes on the Swoozer.

"Wanna do a fitness swim after the timer?" I ask as I pull the handle making my legs go straight.

"Sounds like....a plan." Tessa says, out of breath as she peddles at a fast speed.

"Don't ware yourself out now." I laugh as I continue rowing.

~

A few minutes later my timer goes off.

"Want to switch or do some swimming?" I ask her letting the handle go back in.

"Let's go for that swim." She smiles.

"Okay let's do it." I smile getting of the machine.

We go in the back and into the girls changing room and change into our bathing suit.

"This is a good idea, I should practice for the physical test which is like a month from now." Tessa tells me from the changing stall beside me.

"I'm guessing there's a certain time you have to beat."

"Yeah you have to be at exactly 13 minutes or under to pass it and be able to stay a lifeguard and only the lifeguards do it, the trainees don't which is only Harrison for now."  She responds

"How many laps?" I ask

"22."

"Holy! What?! Really?!" I push the curtain open

She does too, "Yup."

"In 13 minutes?..."

"You got it."

"Yikes. Well you definitely practice. I'll get my phone to time you." I grab my phone from the locker.

"And that's not all either."

"What?!" I screech.

"You have to do another on the beach with the boards too. But Hoppo didn't say what that was so I can't really practice for that." She sighs. "But no point in practicing that part if you don't past the first an I right?" She smiles

"Yeah I guess so.." I say wondering why she's smiling about it.

We go to the pool.

She gets on the block.

"You ready?" She nods, "Set GO!" I shout starting the time as she dives in.

I watch as she swims like a power house.

Once she's done the last lap and puts her hand on the starting block I stop the time.

"Wow. 10.01."

"Yes!" She cheers getting out, breathing heavily.

"I'm pretty sure you'll smash it!" I smirk

"Hopefully I don't get sick or anything and get slower." She says bitting her lip.

"I'm sure you're going to be fine." I tell her patting her on the back.

"You should try. I want to see what you would get." She says giving me her swim cap and goggles. Then drying her hands off and taking my phone.
