Chapter Seventy One

Once we get some food, Reidy had asked the waiter for some water and something for me to eat because you know...I was literally dying.

After I ate a pastry and drank some water I was a lot better.

We ordered our food which was rich in protein, nutrients and all that good stuff. Reidy thought it was a better idea to go to the outside part of the restaurant, so I can get some air. No one is outside, just us.

"You're looking a look better." Reidy says after finishing his bite.

"I feel a lot better." I tell him. "Thanks for doing this Reidy.." I smile genuinely

"I have a question."

"What's that?" I ask

"Why did you say, 'just leave me'?"

"What? When did I say that?" I ask acting dumb.

"When I was helping you outside the change rooms in the pavilion."

"Oh.."

"Is something wrong?" He asks

"No, everything is fine." I tell him giving him a masked smile

"Tessa everything is not fine. You didn't eat breakfast, you didn't even drink any fluids all day."

"So I just forgot....." I tell him shrugging and putting my hands in my pockets looking away, not wanting to talk about it.

"No one just forgets to eat all day. I can see maybe breakfast when in a rush but you can always grab something quick, I didn't even see an apple or orange in your hand when you came in the tower."

"Just wasn't hungry." I tell him not looking into his soft, kind eyes.

"Is it Harrison?" I look at Reidy at the mention of his name.

"Nooo." I frown, "Harrison and I are fine,"

Reidy shifts his chair in the light sound of the brick crackling with the dirt under it. "Tessa you can tell me anything. Everyone needs someone to talk too weather they think they do or not."

Wow he's definitely gonna be a good father some day..got the pep talk and everything.

I purse my lips trying to stop from my lip quivering. The slight breeze of the warm air hits my face.

"Did something happen between you and Harrison?"

I sniffle and I can feel the emotions hit my heart. I cover my face with one hand trying to keep the sobs in.

"Aw." I hear the chair plop beside me. He pulls me in to him with one arm. I sob into his shirt. "What happened?"

I tell him everything crying.

"Well I know Harrison and I think he's just a little angry but I don't think he'll keep a grudge for long." He rubs my back, "And if he doesn't see how much you love him then he's not the one."

"But he is the one!" I sob.

"Well if he's gonna be like that and never change then he's not. I don't think you should waste your time with him if he's going to be like that."

I sniffle, "But I love him..."

"Well you thought you loved Hayden but look at how he treated you."

I breathe a shakey breath. "I Guess your right...." I wipe my tears away sniffling. "Thanks for the pep talk Reidy..."

He smile, "No problem Kiddo."

"And thanks for the food. I'll pay to ba-"

"No need. My treat." He smile

I give him a half smile, thankful. "Thank you again."

I stand and Reidy stands with me, "Want me to walk you to your car?" He asks

I give him a genuine smile, "That would be lovely." I smile

We start walking together, "Don't worry about Harrison okay? He just needs to figure himself out and how he feels."

I look down and kick a pine cone. "I guess."

"And if he ignores you like that again I'm going to say something." He says squinting lighting up the mood.

I laugh, "Your so good to me Reidy. I don't think I ever said how thankful I am to have you in my life. All the boys in fact."

"Well we are like a big family." He nudged me, "We look out for each other."

I giggle, "Well that's one big family." I tell him as we stop at my Jeep. "Well this is where I say goodbye." I give him a hug. "Thank you again for everything." I smile.

"No problem. If you ever need to talk just text and I'll give you one of my pep talks." He says winking.

I laugh. "Definitely will." I smile, "See ya at work Andrew."

He gives a nod and I get in my Jeep. He puts a hand out as a wave and I return it. He gives a smile and tucks his hands in his pockets. Jogging to pass a car before it has to stop for him to cross.

I smile and start my engine with a turn of my key.

I give a sigh before looking back to reverse my Jeep. Once out I shift the gear into drive. Then take off the pearl blue paint shimmering in the moon light.

I breathe in. For once I have some hope about this relationship, Harrison still has lots of love for me...right?
