Chapter Fifty Eight

An hour passes and  the pain isn't going away in fact it's getting worse.

I groan shifting in my seat my stomach starting to feel the pain. I never felt this much pain from a bluebottle. My chest starts to tighten.

My body starts to get a bit hot, "You alright Tess?"

"Yeah, yeah...just hurts." I tell him

"Still?"

"Central to South we got two out in the back. That are going to go off the sandbank there. Maybe just try to direct them back in." I hear Kerrbox say over the radio.

"Copy. I see them." I put my radio down.

I grab the mega phone and press the button with my thumb. I blow on it, "Oi! You guys in the back there. The one with the sunnies on...yeah you and your friend. Come back to shore, unless you want to get stung by blue bottles." I point to the sign Jake has put up not too long ago. "And let me tell ya they aren't friendly."

I'm shocked as they actually start coming in. I direct them in but of course they did the opposite to what I said and they both go in a rip.

"Oh my..bloody hell." I sigh scratching my neck and face.

I look at Chap. "Guess we're going in." I get out of the buggy and grab the board. Chapo grabs the board by the no swimming sign.

I watch as one guy struggles. I sprint into the water, putting my pain aside, I paddle as fast as I can.

I grab the young man's shirt and pull him on my board his friend grabs on the board.

"Your alright, your alright. Just breathe mate."

As I wait for Chapo who just broke over a wave and bay watch like, flipping his hair. Dang mate, you could be the new Hasselholf. I giggle at my thoughts.

He take one of the men and I take the other with the sunnies. "Hold on to those sunnies mate." I tell him as I paddling catching a wave in.

I drop him off and give him the lecture. I look out to the water breathing heavily. I spot a young teenage girl in a rip a little further down the beach. I don't even bother to radio in as she's clearly going under. I run into the water and hop on my board I paddle faster then I ever went.

I lean on my board crashing through a wave. I notice a long blue bottle on my arm but I ignore it getting to this patient more important then getting stung. I crash over another wave keeping an eye on her.

I get to her, her head fully submerged, I  grab her by the hair and put her on the board. Holding her there. I take the blue bottle off of me. She coughs, "Breathe your alright. I got you." I tell her now fully trying to get in breaths.

"Thank you." She says

"Sorry I had to pull you by your hair." I apologize

"Don't apologize it's better then drowning."

After I get her to shore I ask her if she swallowed water and if she did and she feels weird or fatigued to go to the hospital because there is water on her lungs as we walk to the dry sand. "And stay between the flags ay." I tell her out of breath. She nods jogging to her worried boyfriend.

I drag my board to the buggy slowly not feeling to hot. I collapse on my knees feeling dizzy from the aching pain.

I put a hand on my head, wet stands of my hair hiding my face. I flip my hair to the side to get them out of my face, I groan.

"Tess, Tess you alright? Did you get hit by something?"

"No..it's the blue bottle stings.." I wince feeling light headed, "My chest feels tight." I tell him short of breath.

"Central to south what's going on down there?" I hear Reidy now on the radio

"It's Tessa, she got stung pretty bad about an hour ago, and she's still not feeling to good. On the back and leg.
She's got a tight chest."

"That's not good. I'll come down to bring her to the tower and get Corey to take her place." Reidy says

"Copy that mate."

I wince. Chapo comes to me, "Alright. Let's get you to the buggy." He tells me helping me up and taking my board.

"Thanks Chap." I tell him

Not long after Reidy and Corey come down.

"You alright dear?" Reidy asks as I shake my head and take the oxygen off, turning the tank off.

I get off the back of the buggy Reidy makes sure if I pass out he'll catch me.

The new pain in my arm makes me feel worse. I groan from all the pain I breathe slowly feeling like I might actually pass out.

We get in the buggy with Reidy. He drives up the sand. I groan again shifting in my seat. I try to breathe a clam breathe but now all that's happening is I'm breathing short spirts of breaths as my body worse my chest tightens even more.

My vision goes dark a bit, once it clears I didn't even notice the buggy has stopped. Reidy scoops me up in his arms me walking would take to long and I don't even know if I have that kind of energy.

"Hang in there Tess." I whimper like a complete wuss. My head rests on Reidy's chest not even being able to keep my head up.
