You had loved him since the very instant you heard him sing your song. His voice had brought tears to your eyes. And the way he sang your words felt like he was singing just for you. The world had been so full of color on that day.

It has been a few years since that day. The day you had won a writing session with Hayato. That writing session was the best day of your life. You let out a sigh. The world had since lost the color you saw on that day. You desperately wished you could see him again. See his smile that lit up the room. See that boy who had brought your world so much color. But it's been many years. And you've written many songs since then, but none seemed quite right. You longed to give Hayato the perfect song one day. A song that would show capture the light he had given you. But you weren't sure if you could write it, let alone give it to him. "Y/N! What did I say about daydreaming on the clock." You heard your boss say. You sighed. "If you got time to dream, you got time to clean." You answered. "Yes, so get to it." You put your thoughts aside and began the endlessly dull cleaning.

Mystery POV

I was walking down the street when I saw a girl cleaning in an office building window. I stopped dead in my tracks at the sight of her. Her hair, which was put up in a loose ponytail, shined from the sun. Her eyes, while tired, looked as though there was a sparkle that could see the world in a way no one else could. She was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen.

This woman looked so familiar. But I couldn't put my finger on it. It would make sense if she was some sort of celebrity, but that wouldn't explain her cleaning a regular office building. I was so tempted to wait for her at the door. But for some reason, that felt wrong. I decided to put my cards in fate's hands. If I passed by here tomorrow and she was still there, then that was a sign. But if she was gone, then it wasn't meant to be. I then reluctantly turned away from the building and started my way home.

Your/3rd POV

Your eyes traveled to the window. You spotted a raven-haired man walking by. He looked so much like Hayato that you couldn't stop your thoughts from earlier coming back to the front of your mind. You could barely contain your agony. You so desperately wanted to write the perfect song for Hayato. You yearned to run home and write more songs. But you knew that without inspiration. Without those colors he had shown you. It would only lead to failure.

You finished up your work for the day and headed home. On the way home, a thought crossed your mind. What if the raven-haired man you saw on the other side of the window was Hayato? That thought made you stop completely. There's no way it would've been him. You would never see him again. Every bone in your body ached to run back to the building. But your head pushed against it. So you made a decision. If he was there again tomorrow, then you would approach him. But if he wasn't, then it wasn't meant to be. You pushed away the burning ache and made your way home.

~Time skip~

Despite your clear decision, you couldn't help but wonder as you laid in bed that night. Would Hayato even remember you if you saw him again? Would Hayato really accept a song from you again? Could you even write a good enough song? Was that boy even Hayato? You looked out the window at the full moon. "I wonder if he's gazing at the moon tonight. Oh, how I wonder about the boy on the other side of the window."

Mystery POV

I thought about her as I laid in bed that night. Where had I seen her before? I searched my mind for an answer. Then it hit me. I remembered the day they had set up a writing session giveaway for me. The girl who had won was the best songwriter I had ever worked with. Her words somehow felt like they were written just for me. Even though we were complete strangers to each other. I had long given up hope of seeing her again. But, this encounter gave me hope. I looked out the window at the full moon. "I wonder if she's gazing at the moon tonight. Oh, how I wonder about the girl on the other side of the window."

So you might be thinking, "What kind of place is that to leave off on?" But I'm not just going to leave it at this. I fully intend to make a part two. I just thought that this was already kind of long, and it would create some nice anticipation for the second half. Thank you so much SwapanBiswas4 for the request! I'd love to hear what you think of it so far. I hope you enjoyed it! Thank you so much for reading! (Oh yeah, he didn't seem a lot like Hayato in this part much. But, I intend to make his personality more shown in the second part.) Bye-bye

(Just a side note about the future of this book. I have no intention of putting this book down. But, as most of you can probably tell, my updates have been farther and farther apart. I will continue to write but the updates might be slow. Thank you for being patient with me and I hope you continue to be patient with me.)
