Syo x Reader

You were walking down Saotome academy's hall when someone ran right into you. You couldn't catch yourself as you fell face-first onto the ground. "I'm sorry, are you okay?" The person who ran into you asked. "I'm fine." You replied quietly, still sitting on the ground. But you couldn't help it, the collision with the ground caused tears to pour from your eyes. You covered your face with your hands in an attempt to stop your crying. "Y/N that was you?! I'm sorry." You just now recognized that voice, it was Syo. Syo for some reason was your friend. Others didn't really reach out to you since you were shy. You lifted your face from your hands and looked at him. His face got red as he crouched down to put a hand on your head. Your face heated up as well. "It's fine." You moved your head out from under his hand and stood up. "I-I should probably get back to my dorm, g-goodbye!" You said as ran off. 

Natsuki finally had caught up with Syo but stopped when he saw the somber expression on Syo's face. "What happened Syo-chan?" Natsuki asked. Syo wiped the expression off his face as he said. "Nothing." 

You didn't end up going to your dorm. You ended up stopping on a bench by the pond. You were so embarrassed. You not only fell in front of everyone but you cried as well. You've always been like this. You're shy and cry at little things, so unlike Syo. You look up to him. He's so strong. But the only thing you have in common with Syo is that you're both short. After sitting for awhile you walked back to your dorm.

~Time skip a couple of days~

"Hey Y/N." Syo called out to you, the class had just ended and you were grabbing your things. "Yes?" You said quietly. "We were planning on camping on a mountain over break. I was wondering if you want to come." You looked down, of course you would like to go there is just one problem. "I think I'd be rather out of place. How about you just go with your friends?" You said. "You are my friend." His face turned really red. "Will you please come with me? It would make me happy." You felt your own face heat up. "I-I guess I can go." You said quietly. "Yes, I was really hoping you would come. I look forward to it." Syo said, then he walked away.

~Time skip to the arrival at the mountain~

"I'm so glad you decided to come Y/N!" Tomochika said. "Yeah, it's nice to have you here." Haruka added. "Thank you." You said quietly with a red face. "So, are you Ochibi-chan's girlfriend?" Ren asked. You felt your face heat up. "It's nothing like that." You said quietly. "Don't call me short! And don't ask that either!" Syo said with a red face. 

They talked to you a lot during the rest of the day. It's really rare when that many people even notice you. 

"Hey, I've been tasked with getting some firewood. Do you want to come with me?" Syo asked. "Sure." You replied. You figured it would be nice to take a breather from so much attention. 

"Thank you for inviting me." You told Syo as you both were walking. "Thank you for coming. It's nice to spend this sort of time with you." He blushed as he realized what he just said. "I feel the same." You said, your own face also growing red. "There's something else I'd like to tell you. Y/N I-" He was cut off when the bridge you two were walking to started to collapse in the middle. He managed to get back in time. You stood still, the part of the bridge under you felt like it could collapse too at any moment. "You have to jump!" Syo called out to you. "I can't! I won't make it." You said with tears streaming down your face. You were terrified. "There's no other way!" He reached out his hand as far as it could go. "I'll catch you. Just jump as far as you can." You saw the fear in his eyes. He knew that it might not work, but it was the only option. "I'm not strong enough." You said, ready to give up. "I believe in you!" For the first time, you felt courage. He believed in you, you don't want to let him down. You jumped with all your might. You grabbed his hand and he pulled you the rest of the way. He wrapped his arms around you tightly, his head resting on your shoulder. You felt your shoulder get wet from his tears. This is the first time you've ever seen him cry. 

He moved his head and looked at you straight in the eye. "I love you Y/N." You felt your face get warm. "I couldn't keep my feelings inside any longer." He continued.  You looked down. "You don't want someone like me. I'm just a short, weak scaredy-cat." "I don't think a weak scaredy-cat could jump off a collapsing bridge." "That's only because you were there." You said. "You made the jump." "I've been alone for so long, yet you reached out to me. You give me strength. You see me when others don't, and for that I love you." You said with tears streaming down your face. He tightened his embrace around you as he kissed you.
