Ranmaru Christmas Oneshot

You were spending Christmas with Ranmaru this year. You were nervous because of that. You heard a knock on your door. You saw your cat get up from her nap. What, could she smell him or something? You went over and opened the door. It was Ranmaru. "It's nice to see you." You said with a smile. "I'll be right back, I need to go get something." 

You walked into your room. You heard Ranmaru shut the entrance door. You looked at your desk. The present you had put there was gone.  You took a deep breath. You must have just put it somewhere else. You started searching the room. You were about to give up when something red caught your eye from your cat's bed. You lifted the small blanket over your cat's bed. It was the gift you were searching for. That cat. You loved her so much but she doesn't seem to like you very much. 

And here was an example. You had just walked out of your room. You were currently looking upon Ranmaru rubbing your cat. Whenever Ranmaru came over, your cat was so attached to him. She wants all of his attention, and since he loves cats, she gets it. You walked over to the two of them. Ranmaru was so absorbed with your cat that he didn't even notice you. "I'm back." Ranmaru jumped. He then laid back and put his hands behind his head. "I didn't see you come back." He said, trying to brush it off coolly. "I could tell." 

You held out the gift to him. "Merry Christmas." You said. He took the box from your hands. He pulled off the paper and opened the box. It was a small black pick with his name written in red on it. "Thanks." Ranmaru said. He pulled out a box from his pocket and held it out to you. "Here." You grabbed the box from his hands. You gently pulled away the wrapping paper and opened the box. It was a necklace with a small cat charm. The charm had a small red gem on it. The gem was acting as a tag on the cat. It was beautiful. "I love it, thank you Ranmaru." You said happily. He went back to petting your cat.

~30 minutes later~

He was still petting and playing with your cat. You loved cats and Ranmaru did too, but you can't help but feel lonely. "What's wrong?" Ranmaru said. "Oh, it's nothing." He turned towards you. "Don't lie to me." "It's stupid." You said looking down. "Fine." He went back to petting your cat.

It was only a moment before he turned back towards you. He stood up off the floor where he was playing with your cat and sat beside you. He sat there in silence for a moment. He then pulled you on top of him. "I love you Y/N." You felt your face get red. "I love you too. Are you okay?" You asked. "Shut up. I'm doing this for you." He said. You could tell he was embarrassed. Could he tell you were lonely? "Thank you Ranmaru." You whispered. 

Something in the window caught your eye. It was snowing. "Merry Christmas Y/N." "Merry Christmas Ranmaru."  That night you two fell asleep on the sofa. Your cat cuddled up beside you.
