Masato and Tokiya had been staring at the blank page for the past hour in silence. To onlookers, it might have appeared like they were waiting for the music to write itself. "I was sure that we would have stumbled upon inspiration by now." Masato said with a sigh. "We were able to overcome it before. We can do it again." Tokiya replied. "I know that we both have the skills to make a good song. We just need a spark of inspiration." Masato said. "It's hard to get a spark when we're both a match with no striker." Tokiya replied. They both sighed in sync and went back to staring at the paper in hopes that one of them would have a spark of inspiration.

There was a soft knock on the door. But Tokiya and Masato were so focused on the paper that they didn't hear. You, the knocker, assumed no one was inside and gently opened the door. "What's wrong with you two?" You asked. They both looked up at you in sync. "Y/N, when did you come in?" Masato asked. "Just now. I knocked, but you two didn't hear me." You replied. "Sorry about that." Tokiya apologized. "It's fine." You said with a smile. "Now back to the question, what's wrong?" You asked again. "We've been put together for a duet again. And both are lacking inspiration." Masato answered. "Oh, I'm sure you'll figure it out." You said. "We've been trying for the past 4 hours." Tokiya said with a defeated sigh. "Don't be so glum." You said. "While I may just be a cleaner, how about I offer some advice. How about you two write about something you both feel passionate about. Something you hate, feel sad about, or love. After all, good music comes from pure emotion." You said with a smile. You turned back towards the door. "I hope that helps. I'll leave you two to it." Then you walked away.

Masato and Tokiya fell into silence after you left. Although both were aware of it, neither had said anything about their feelings towards the cleaner girl. Since she was a cleaner, she was constantly in the building. And since she was always in the building, she was constantly running into the STARISH boys. While the others simply brushed her off, Masato and Tokiya noticed her. They noticed her warm smile. They noticed her bright and determined eyes. And most of all, they noticed her caring and optimistic attitude. "Should we?" Masato asked. "I think it's about time we said something about it anyway. A song is just an excuse to do so." Tokiya replied. "Agreed." Masato replied. So the boys began to work on the song. The song that could change everything. And while neither spoke out the agreement, they knew that this song wouldn't change their steadfast friendship.

~A few weeks later~

"Huh? Me?" You asked. Masato and Tokiya had just handed you a ticket and asked you to come to the song's debut. You could barely believe what you were hearing. "Yes, you." Tokiya said. "But I'm just a cleaner. And I don't even know how expensive the ticket is so I can repay you." You said. "There's no need. You're the one who helped us write the song." Masato replied. "But." You said, looking down. "Just come." Tokiya said. You sighed. "Fine, I will come to your show." You said.

~A few days later~

You waited in anticipation as you stood in the crowd. The show was supposed to start in a few minutes. You smiled to yourself. It has been a long time since you've been to a concert. You were glad that it was Tokiya and Masato who you were seeing. They were always so kind to you. The lights in the room dimmed, and the screams of fans started.  The lights flashed on. And they were there. Masato and Tokiya. "Thank you for coming to the debut of our new song." Masato said. "We put everything we have into this song. I hope our emotion reaches you." Tokiya said. And then the music started.

~Time skip to after the show~

Tokiya and Masato had given you a backstage pass and told you to meet them there after the show. So now you waited backstage for Masato and Tokiya. "Sorry for making you wait." You heard Masato say. You turned to them with a smile. "I wasn't here long." You replied. "How did you like the song?" Tokiya asked. "It was absolutely wonderful. I could truly feel the emotion of love, longing, and trust within it. I was almost magical." You said. "I'm glad you enjoyed it." Masato said. "We put a lot into that song." Tokiya continued. "I can truly see that in the song. By the way, what's the song about?" You asked. There was a short moment of silence before they spoke up. "You." Masato and Tokiya said in sync. "I want a real answer." You said with a slightly pouty face. "It's the truth." Masato said. "But it was about a happy lovely girl. It was a love song." You said. "That's exactly it." Tokiya responded. Your mouth dropped open. "Y/N." Masato said as he grabbed your left hand with a slightly red face. "We're in love with you." Tokiya continued grabbing your right hand. Then they both kissed the hand they were holding. Your face was a red mess. "I-I-" "You don't have to answer now." Masato said. "We just needed to let you know." Tokiya said. "You two." You said, trying to think of what to say. You thought for a moment, but nothing but two words sounded better. "Thank you."

Thank you was enough. Enough to show Masato and Tokiya that you care. Enough of an answer for now. It was simply enough. But not enough to ease your pounding heart.

Who would you choose?

The second part of  "The one on the other side of the window" will be written after I finish the next request. Thank you so much for reading! I actually quite enjoyed writing this one. I honestly don't think I'd choose either of them. And in this situation it feels heartbreaking to pick one of them. Thank you KiyaraIchinose112 for the request! I feel as though Masato and Tokiya might be a bit out of character in this oneshot. Sorry about that. I hope you enjoyed reading it! I've noticed that as I've gone on writing this book, my parts have been getting longer and longer. I hope that means that I'm getting better at writing and not that I just shove to many words in. Well until next time, Bye-bye
