Sorry, this is out of order. I haven't been in good writing spirits recently, but I wanted to get a part published today. I happened to have inspiration for this one so I wrote it. I also have no information on his family so I made up his parents. Camus is also a little out of character. The story is also a bit all over the place.
~Christmas eve~
You were spending Christmas with Camus this year. This was the very first time you were going to do this. And to add to your nerves, you were getting ready for a flight. Camus was going to Permafrost for Christmas and told you you could come if you want. You said yes because you wanted to spend the time with Camus. But going to Camus's home town and meeting his parents was a lot.
After getting ready, you went to the airport. It was 10 pm because you wanted to be there in the morning. Camus had already flown to Permafrost the week before. So you were on the plane alone. The flight was long, so you had lots of time to think. You thought about what his parents were like. Was the former count mean and cold like Camus? Was his mother the warmth of the family? And the most worrying of all, would they like you? These questions consumed your mind all through the plane ride until you fell asleep.
~Christmas day~
You woke up just as the plane landed. It was Christmas day and you had arrived in Permafrost. You felt it as soon as you walked out of the plane. Everywhere you could see was covered in snow and it was freezing cold. Despite the cold, you thought it looked beautiful. You then walked into the airport. As you made it into the building you then realized something, you had no idea how to get to Camus's family house. You started to panic, what were you going to do? "You made it." You recognized that voice. You turned around, it was Camus. You sighed with relief. "Yeah." "Let's go." Camus began to walk off so you followed him.
There was a car waiting outside the airport for you two. There was a driver who didn't speak which scared you a bit. But your fears were eased since Camus was there. After a short drive, you two arrived. It was a large manor with a big silver gate. If you were being honest, it kind of looked a bit haunted. "You just going to sit in the car forever?" Camus said with annoyance. You didn't notice that he had gotten out of the car and opened your door. "Oh, sorry." You grabbed your bag and got out of the car.
You two walked up to the large gate. Camus punched in a code on the panel connected to the gate. Then it opened. You walked beside Camus up to the manor. Your heart was beating like a drum. All of the questions you had on the plane wormed their way back into your thoughts. Then Camus opened the door.
It was beautiful on the inside. You had never been to such a big house. "Come up to your room." Camus said. You followed him up the stairs to your room. "My room is at the end of the hall. Do not disturb me unless it is an emergency." Camus said. "O-Okay." You said. "Hurry up and put your stuff in your room so we can get back downstairs." Camus said. You pushed your luggage into the room and followed Camus back downstairs.
He led you into the main sitting room. You didn't notice the two people quietly sitting beside each other. Your eyes instead were focused on the tree. It was a large tree that was beautifully decorated. "It's beautiful." You said aloud on accident. "Oh Camus, you're back." You quickly turned to the source of the unfamiliar voice. It was a man with blond hair with a few streaks of gray. Unlike Camus, he had a beard. "You must be the girl Camus told us about." He said. A woman with medium length blond hair quickly stood up and walked over to you. "You're so beautiful. I can't believe my son got someone like you. You'll make a wonderful countess one day!" She said happily. You felt your face heat up. To be a countess you'd have to marry Camus. "Mother, calm down." Camus said with annoyance. You think it was because of the 'my son got someone like you' comment. "Alright alright. But I am so glad that you brought your girlfriend over for Christmas." She said with a smile. "She does indeed look like a fine young lady." The man, who you assumed was his father said. This may just be a wild guess, but you think they like you.
You were currently back in your room. Camus walked you up to your room and then went off somewhere. You were so happy they liked you. You wondered what Camus was like as a child. Was he always so cold or did something happen to him? You looked out the window and saw something moving. It was a horse. You decided it was better than sitting in your room all day, so you decided to go outside.
After putting on the proper amount of clothing, you walked to the door. You opened it and stepped outside. You quickly made your way to the back of the manor where your window had looked down upon. You saw what you had seen from your window more clearly. It was a beautiful white horse with Camus riding on its back. He seemed to be good at riding a horse. You wondered if he was taught as a child or if he learned himself. The horse began moving towards you. It wasn't going to run over you, was it? The horse stopped a little away from you, it lifted its front hooves and kicked snow at you. You began to brush the snow off of yourself. "Why did you come out here?" Camus asked. "I just saw in the window and decided to come out and watch." You replied. "Have you ever ridden a horse before?" Camus asked. "Not that I can remember." You said. "Then you will today." Camus reached out his hand to you. You became skeptical. Camus was rarely like this. Still, you grabbed onto his hand. He pulled you up onto the horse in front of him. Your face heated up. It was like a scene from a movie. "Hold on tight." Camus said. Then your movie scene crumbled.
The wind was quickly whipping past you, blowing your hair. You held onto the horse for dear life. After a while, the horse finally stopped. Your hair was a mess, your heart was beating fast, and your breath was heavy. "Would you like to get off?" Camus asked. You could almost hear a smile in his voice. "Yes please." Camus slid off the horse and helped you off. Then you walked back inside.
~Time skip to the night~
You laid in the bed. It was an exhausting day and you were tired. But you were so scared that you couldn't go to sleep. You just laid there staring at the ceiling. You thought about Camus then shook your head. Camus was probably already asleep. If you woke him up for something as silly as being scared you were sure he'd be angry. You tried to go to sleep once more.
After a bit, you couldn't hold it in anymore. You stood up and went to your door. You took a deep breath and opened the door. You walked over and stood in front of Camus's door. You thought about going back to your room when you heard a noise down the hall. You then quickly knocked on the door. After a moment the door opened to reveal an annoyed Camus. "What is it?" He asked. "I-I'm scared and can't sleep." You fidgeted with your hands. "I-I was wondering if I could sleep with you." You said. He sighed. "I thought I told you not to disturb me unless it was an emergency." Camus said with annoyance. "I know, I'm sorry. I'll just go back to my room." You said, tears welling up in your eyes.
He pulled you inside. "Get in." He said pointing to a side of his bed. He then walked over and got in from the other side. Your heartbeat quickened as you climbed in beside him. You turned to where you were looking away from Camus. You heard another noise and shook. You felt arms wrap around your waist. Your face heated up. "You're such a bother. This is a one-time thing so don't get used to it." Camus said. "Thank you." You said. "Merry Christmas." You whispered. "Merry Christmas you foolish woman."
I realized I kind of push my own feelings into these Christmas Oneshots. I say that because the Reader/Main Character always likes snow. I guess since I don't see it often, I like it more. But someone who has it all the time might not like it. Also sorry this wasn't as Christmas-y as the other ones. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed! I once again apologize for the late requests. But I think I might put them off until next week or maybe even after Christmas. I'm sorry to make you wait so long, but I haven't written as much as I would've liked this week. Thank you so much for your patience RishitaBiswas. Thank you for reading! Bye-bye
