Eiichi Birthday Oneshot

I haven't written in like a month here we go.

You sighed as you looked in the mirror. You practiced smiling. Anddd then you sighed again. You were so stressed for absolutely no reason. But you couldn't be, not today. Today was your beloved boyfriend's birthday, Eiichi. You couldn't let your stupid problems ruin his day. Just then you got a call.

"He-" "Get down here. Don't you care about your boyfriend or whatever? Just don't do any lovey-dovey crap." The oh-so-sweet and cute Nagi said from over the phone. "Yeah yeah I'm coming." You looked in the mirror one last time before you went downstairs.

...

"Happy birthday Eiichi!" 

"This is from me!" You said with a smile as you held out a small wrapped box to Eiichi. He looked into your eyes for a moment. It's like he was searching for something, or maybe he had already found something. He broke the eye contact and took the box. "Thank you Y/N." "Um yeah. Uh, you're welcome." You replied with a fake smile. 

For the rest of the party, Eiichi acted normal. Well, as normal as he is on a normal basis. It was a fun night of horror movies, festivities, and basically, just Nagi messing with Eiichi for hours. Shion was happy but quiet, Van was drinking a bit too much, Kira was well the same as ever, Yamato was extra pumped today, and Eiji was just being even cuter and happy which you didn't know was possible. And you... you participated in the festivities and tried your best to be happy. But even you could tell how fake you seemed. 

 At this point, everyone was either asleep or passed out (cough cough Van). You looked out the window. Even the sky seemed clouded and blurred. You felt tears sting your eyes. "Y/N?" You furiously wiped your eyes and responded. "Hi, Eiichi. How was your day?" You heard him sigh. He came up behind you and hugged you. "I had fun today spending time with you and the others." "That's nice." You said with a smile, even though he couldn't see your face. The tears rolled. 

He didn't say anything. He just stayed with you. "I-I'm sorry. I ruined your birthday with my stupid problems." You said through your tears. "I told you I had fun today." He replied softly. You were silent.

"Can I make a birthday request?" He asked. You sniffled. "What is it?" "Stay." He whispered. "Stay with me. I can't fix your problems. I can't always know what's wrong or how to comfort you. But I want you by my side. Stay." A silent tear rolled down your face. "What if I never get better?" You whispered. "Then stay. Stay when your sad, happy, angry, whatever it is I'll be here." 

You two were silent for a while. "So?" He asked. "I accept. I'll stay." You said quietly. "That's the best gift I've ever gotten." "I love you Eiichi. Happy birthday." "I love you too." 

So this is really short and it doesn't feel very Eiichi or Birthday-like. It's more like an emotional outlet than anything else. I'm sorry if you were hoping for something happier or more like a celebration. Thank you so much for reading! I hope you enjoyed it!
