(I don't think I portray Ryuya's personality very well, but here goes nothing. Sorry this took so long, because I'm iffy in my Ryuya portrayal, I didn't have lots of motivation to write this one.)

It's finally the day! Ryuya's birthday. And you are well prepared. Luckily, today was a day Ryuya had off from work. Well, at least there were no classes today. You knew he wouldn't take it off specifically for his Birthday. If you had to take a guess, Ryuya was probably out for a run around the school. You know you said it's a day off. But it basically is. There was just a meeting at 1 00 pm. It's over now but you assumed Ryuya was still here. You checked the time. 2 00 pm. Plenty of time. You were going to make a cake for Ryuya. Now you weren't the best at cooking, but that was the least of your problems. How you were going to give the cake to Ryuya after you made it was more of an issue. It's not like you two weren't close or anything. You two often talked, you knew a lot about him and him you. But it was always as coworkers. He was a teacher at the school as were you. But over time of working with him, you grew to love him. He's always so passionate and hard-working. He teaches not only singing and composing but hard life lessons that you have trouble teaching. He teaches them even when he seems like the bad guy. And on top of all of that, he's super cool! You've never confessed to him since you feared rejection. After all, what could someone like you give someone like him? I mean you're a simple teacher from a simple idol career. And he was SUPER popular. You hit your face with your hands. This was no time to be caught up in your thoughts! You decided to do this, and you're not going to back down now!

You took out the bags of ingredients you have been hiding from behind the cabinet. You decided to use the school kitchen so Ryuya would be nearby. You quickly checked out the window to make sure he wasn't super close. Coast clear! You pulled the curtain over the window. Alright, time to get started. And so, you began the cooking process.

In less than five minutes you knew that everyone who ever said piece of cake was a liar. Flour was absolutely everywhere. You were sure you had sugar in your eyelashes. You've slipped on about 4 banana peels when you only use 2 bananas. You broke the whisk in half on accident. And the batter was the color of tar. You sighed. Then you heard a boom from the microwave. Great. You looked carefully in the microwave. It exploded. The butter you were trying to melt exploded. How did you even do that?! You jumped as you heard the door open suddenly.

Oh no. This had to be a dream. No, a nightmare. The person standing at the door was none other than Ryuya Hyuga himself. Your mouth dropped open. "Y/N. What are you doing?" He asked. You were brought back to your senses. You quickly stepped in front of your work to try and cover everything as much as possible. "Ummm. I. Well I was." You tried to think of an excuse. He gave you a look that said to just tell him the truth. You sighed. "I was trying to make a cake." You said, looking down. "And I heard an explosion." He said. "Yeah, it's not going too well. And the worst part is that it's the school kitchen." You said, burying your face in your hands.

"Let me see what you have, I'll help you." You looked up in surprise. "Really?" You asked. "I don't see why not. I have some time on my hands." He walked from the door towards you. "So, let's see what you've got."

...

"How did yo-" "Yes, yes, I know I'm really bad. I don't even know what happened." You all of a sudden became very aware that you were covered in flour and sugar. You felt your face grow red in embarrassment. You glanced towards Ryuya, but he didn't seem to be paying attention to you. "That bad?" You asked. "It's a big mess. But it's not the worst I've seen." "Wow, I can't imagine someone who cooks worse than I do." "The first thing we need to do is clean up this mess and start from the beginning." He said. That's what you were afraid of. You tried to think of an excuse. "Will we have enough ingredients?" You asked. "There's some more stored in here for free use." "Really? I never knew that." Great. It's not like you didn't want to make the cake. It's just the cleaning up. Well, it's for Ryuya. So you can power through it! "They don't put a lot so it runs out quick. But it seems you got lucky." "That's good. Alright, let's start." You said, rolling up your sleeves." And so you began the cleaning process.
