Camus x Reader (Sad Series)

Warning: Death by cell phone, (for the cause, when simply searching it on google some people said it was possible why others said it wasn't.) 

That foolish woman.

You and Camus had fought the night before over something stupid. You wanted to apologize, so you got up early in the morning to get him some sweets. They were only sold at this one bakery, and they only made one batch a day. It was two hours before the opening time when you got there, you wanted to make sure that you could get one. You smiled when you thought about getting one for him. 

After two hours had passed, they opened. Yes! You were able to get the sweet before it ran out. Which made sense since you were the first one in line. You only bought one because that is the limit on how many you can purchase per day. You were so excited to give it to him. You hoped this would help him forgive you for the fight. You smiled as you walked down the street.

~At the Master Course building~

"Do you know where Y/N went?" Camus asked Reiji. "I saw her leave early this morning." Reiji replied. "Where did that woman go?" Camus asked himself. "I've never seen you want to see someone so badly." Reiji teased. "Be quiet peasant." 

He waited and waited and waited until finally, he couldn't wait any longer. He decided to call you.

~Back with you~

 You heard your phone ring. You pulled it out of your pocket and read the caller ID 'Camus'  What would he be calling about? You just now noticed that your phone was really warm, like weirdly warm. You disregarded it and answered the phone. "Hey Camus, what is it?" You asked. "Where are you?" He asked. "I can't tell you." You said. "And why is that?" He asked, you could hear that he was getting angry. "I'm bringing you a surprise-" It all happened so suddenly. You felt a sharp pain in your head as the world went black.

~Back with Camus~

"I'm bringing you a surprise-" She just cut out. Whatever. He just went on with his day.

Later he was in the room while the others were watching the news. "Woman on the street is killed by her cell phone exploding. They've identified the woman as First/N Last/N." Camus felt his heart drop. He had to be hearing things. "Camus you need to call these people." Reiji said, panicked. 

Camus called the news company and made many calls after that before he got a hold of someone who knew where you were. He got in his car and drove there. "You're here." The doctor who you were brought to said. "If you would like, you could see her. But she's not in the best of shape." "I want to see her." The moment he saw her it all sank in. She was gone. The last time he spoke to her in person was a fight. He looked away from you. He saw a small bakery box sitting on a table, it was slightly burnt at one of the corners. The doctor seemed to notice him staring. "That was found with her. I was told that she had just left a bakery when the incident occurred." The doctor then left to give Camus some time alone. He recognized that box. It was the bakery that sold the best sweets. But they only made one batch so you had to go early before opening time. I'm bringing you a surprise... She had gone early in the morning to get that for him. "You foolish girl." His voice broke as he spoke. "If only..." There were so many if only's. If only she hadn't gone. If only she hadn't answered the call. If only she hadn't died. If only he didn't start that fight. He called her foolish but he felt that the true fool was him.

It has been a while since I wrote one of these. Just a quick note, please don't be afraid of your cell phone now. From what I read, this is very rare, it happens because the battery overheats, and phones are now built to prevent that. Anyway, thank you so much for reading! I hope you enjoyed!
