Ranmaru x Reader (Sad Series)

Ranmaru still remembers that day. It was a cold winter morning. You were desperately looking for your cat. You had left the door opened and your cat ran off. "You should've been more careful." Ranmaru said. "I know." "You should've trained him better." Ranmaru said. "I know." You knew these things. You fought the tears threatening to fall. "What, is that him?" Ranmaru asked while pointing. You looked over, it was him! But what he was walking into the road! You rushed over. You needed to make it in time. You called out your cats name but he didn't look back. You made it, you wrapped your arms around your cat. "Get out of the way!" You heard someone yell. You felt it, the crunch of your spine. You threw your cat into the snow on the side. Your lower half got crushed, but the truck finally stopped.

Ranmaru was horrified at the sight before him. He rushed over to her. "Hey! Don't you die on me!" His voice broke as he yelled at her. "I protected my cat which I loved so much. But I love you even more. Don't be sad, smile for me one last time." You had said. He couldn't do it. He watched as her body went limp. The cat walked over and rubbed his head against her body. "She's gone." Ranmaru said. To the cat or to himself? He'll never know.

~2 years later~

"Come on put the leash on." Ranmaru normally got along with cats, but not this one. The cat hissed at him. "We're going to see Y/N." The cat backed down after hearing your name.

Ranmaru walked to the graveyard with the cat and some flowers. He spotted her grave. He placed the flowers neatly before your tombstone. "Hey, how have you been?" He crouched down before the stone. The cat rubbed up against Ranmaru. "We've been doing good. After all this time we both miss you. I'm sure you're in a better place now." He smiled at the grave. Ranmaru felt tears stream down his face. "Why did you have to go? Why did you have to leave this cat who reminds me of you? Why couldn't I save you?" The cat put a paw on his arm. He looked over at the cat. "You're such an idiot. Even beyond the gave you found away to tell me it's going to be alright. You're such an amazing idiot."

I have big plans for this book in December that I want to get planned out. I hope you can understand! I might do a special story for Thanksgiving.
