Ren Christmas Oneshot

Ren had asked if you wanted to go out for dinner on Christmas. Of course, you said yes, but it wasn't what you normally did on Christmas. Even though you and Ren had dated for a while, this would be the first Christmas you spent together. Because of that, you were extra nervous, and that nervousness made it very hard to get ready. You had spent hours looking through your closet. You had so many clothes yet nothing to wear. You looked over your clothes one more time. After many hours you finally figured out what to wear.

Just as you had finished getting ready, you heard a knock on the door, it must be Ren. You checked yourself in the mirror before going over to the door. "You look beautiful." Ren said. He was wearing a suit with a red boutonniere. You felt your face heat up. "Thank you, you look handsome." He then grabbed your hand. "Are you ready to go Kitten?" He asked. "Y-Yeah." You replied with an even redder face. 

He held your hand the whole way to his car, then he opened the door for you. Ren was uncharacteristically quiet, normally car rides would never be silent with him, but this one was. He seemed distracted but you thought it better to not ask. "The weather's awfully cold this evening." You said, trying to start a conversation. He didn't respond, was he so distracted that he didn't hear you?

You two finally arrived at the restaurant. The waiting at the table was quiet and the meal was quiet as well. A horrifying thought found its way into your mind. Is Ren going to break up with you on Christmas? No, he wouldn't do that. But something was obviously wrong, you had to ask. "Is something wrong?" You asked. You seemed to have startled him, he rested his elbow on the table and his head on his palm. "Not at all, Kitten. I'm sorry, were you getting lonely?" He asked. He was saying things he normally would, but something still seemed off. You tried to think of what could be bothering him. "Are you nervous Ren?" You asked. "Would you come up to the roof with me?" He asked, ignoring the question and changing the subject. "Sure." Your previous fear made its way back into your mind.

You two got up to the roof. The restaurant was a taller building on a hill, so it seemed that you could look over the entire town. "It's beautiful." You said. "It is." It then began to snow. You looked over the town once more, the snow was gently falling and the lights from the buildings seemed like stars. "There's something I need to tell you." Ren said. You looked over at him. 

Ren's POV

"There's something I need to tell you." I said. She turned her head towards me. Her hair slightly moved with the motion, it had some of the newly fallen snowflakes in it. Her eyes sparkled from the light of the town around us. Seeing her took away all of my fear for what I was about to do. 

Your POV

"What is it?" You asked. He walked closer to you. "I love you more than words can describe. I love your smile. I love your personality. I love the way that you accept me. I love every part of you. And I know that I just wouldn't feel complete without you." He got down on one knee and pulled out and opened a small box, it had a beautiful ring inside. "Will you marry me Y/N?" He asked. 

You just stood there for a second, trying to process his words. You then put a hand over your face as tears started to pour down. "I'm such an idiot, here I was thinking that you're going to break up with me." You looked down at him with a smile. "Yes, a million times yes." He slid the ring onto your finger. He then stood up. "I love you Y/N." "I love you too Ren." He wrapped his arms around your waist. "Merry Christmas Ren." "Merry Christmas Y/N." You two then shared a kiss in the snow. It was a kiss before the whole world but only the moon was there to see.
