Camila POV

I helped Karen with the lunch after I put Riley for a nap and as we were ready, we heard the door bell ring. Shawn went to open the door while Karen and I put the food on the table.

I heard how they greeted each other and then they came in the dinning room.

,,Karen! Long time no see!" Monica said and went in for a hug with Karen.

I took a deep breath and tried to calm down. I didn't want to be jealous or whatever was going on with me.

,,It's nice to see you again, Monica." Karen said and broke the hug with Monica.

,,Manuel! How are you?" She asked excited as she saw Manuel.

Argh! She's talking with them like they were her family! Who does she think she is!?

,,Monica. Nice to see ya." He said and I suddenly I heard Riley cry from upstairs, so I exited the room and ran upstairs as fast as I could.

Riley immediately stopped crying as she saw me enter the room.

,,What's wrong, Riley?" I asked her and I knew she wasn't hungry because I fed before I put her to bed. So I smelled at her butt and smelled nothing. ,,You are not hungry and you also didn't do anything in your diaper. So what's wrong?" I asked her and picked her up in my arms.

She was looking at me and started relaxing. I rocked her lightly in my arms and stroke her cheek with my index finger.

,,Is she okay?" I heard Shawn's voice from behind and I turned around to look at him. Riley relaxed completely as she saw him and I started to think that maybe Riley was scared to be alone.

She was pretty quiet as I saw her for the first time and that's maybe because she was traumatized. Her mom was suddenly not there anymore and maybe she just attached to me pretty fast because I look like Nina.

,,I think so. She shouldn't be hungry and her diaper also seems clean." I said and looked with a worried look at her.

,,Maybe she just felt alone." Shawn said.

,,I'm starting to think she's scared to be alone."

,,It's nothing you should worry about. She sleeps alone and she doesn't cry. I don't think she's scared of being alone. Maybe she just felt alone right now." He said and walked closer to me and Riley.

,,Maybe you're right. I'm overthinking again." I said and he looked me deep into the eyes, but suddenly his eyes fell on my lips. He put his hand on my cheek and his thumb on my lip.

,,Mila, what's that? You bit your lip again!? When did you do that!? Why did you do that!?" He said analyzing my bottom lip.

,,I don't know..." I lied.

,,Camila. When did you do that? Tell me and don't lie to me." He said in a serious tone.

,,At the store..." I confessed and looked at Riley trying to avoid any eye contact.

,,Why did you do it?"

,,I don't know... I realized after it started bleeding." I said not telling him the whole truth.

,,You always do that when you're stressed, nervous, anxious or whatever. What happened that made you uncomfortable?" He said and lifted my chin with his index finger to make me  look at him.

There was something in his eyes that wasn't letting me lie. There was something that dragged me to tell him the truth no matter what.

,,You will think it's childish or stupid." I said.
