Riley POV

I didn't sleep all night trying to figure out what I will do next. I was mad at my parents. Wait... Could I still call them my parents? I mean they aren't really my parents and neither are Ami and Nate my siblings.

I suddenly I felt like I wasn't belonging in my family anymore....

And the thing is, I believe mo- Camila, but if she is right then why would Nick come back? Why would he want me if mom is telling the truth? I wanted to know what he had to say so maybe I will understand more. So during that night I made a mini plan. I will just skip school and try to find Nick and find out what he has to say.

It feels so weird to know that my biological father is alive and I still can't understand why mom and dad- I mean Camila and Shawn would lie to me about something like that. I mean I understand what they were thinking while doing that, but Camila knows how it is to have no parents alive so why make me think that I have no parents alive either.

At some point in the morning, I heard a knock at my door.

,,Come in." I said and Camila entered the room immediately afterwards.

,,I just wanted to ask if you wanna go to school. You don't have to. You can stay home and we can talk more if you want..." Camila said and I was kinda sorry for behaving like that and hurting her, but they hurt me first by lying to me. I never lied to them my whole life, but they lied to me my whole life long.

,,I'm going to school." I simply said and Camila took a deep breath before she left the room disappointment.

,,She's still mad." I heard her say after she left my room and closed the door.

,,She'll understand someday." I heard Shawn say.

,,Hopefully." Camila said and then the voices started fading away.

I don't wanna hurt them. I really hate doing that, but I'm mad. I'm angry and disappointed. I just can't let it slide like it's nothing.

I got changed for school and then walked downstairs to eat breakfast.

,,Riley, are you coming at my first game of the season today too?" Nate asked me with a big smile on his face.

,,Maybe." I said and his smile disappeared immediately. He looked down at his plate disappointed and I could also see the disappointed look on Camila's and Shawn's face with the corner of my eye too.

After we all finished the breakfast, the ride to school was so quiet and no one said anything. Something like that never happened in the Mendes-Cabello family and I feel weird to know it's because of me.

,,Take care." Shawn said when we got at my school.

,,Yeah, I will." I simply said and got out of the car.

,,We lo-"

,,I know. Bye." I said interrupting Camila and walked away not looking back.

Maybe I've gone too far with that...

,,Hey, you!" I heard Mason say from behind and then I felt how he put his arm over my shoulder.

,,Hey." I simply said.

,,Why in such a bad mood?" He asked and chuckled lightly.

,,I can tell you everything on the way." I said and he raised one eyebrow at me.

,,On the way where?" He asked confused.

,,To my father." I said, looked around to be sure my parents' car left and then pulled Mason by his hand in the other direction of the school.
