Camila POV

I walked home with Riley as I noticed she started to get sleepy. Shawn had another two hours of work, so I kissed him goodbye and left.

On the way back home, my phone started calling and as I looked at the screen I saw that Melanie was calling, so I immediately picked up thinking it was some news about the adoption.

,,Hello?" I answered on the phone.

,,Hi, Camila! I have some great news for you." Melanie said and a smile of excitement appeared on my face.

,,Really!? What is the news?"

,,I talked with my boss and with Nick Geller Riley's dad and we came to the conclusion that you can adopt Riley officially whenever you want." Melanie said and I tried my best not to scream from excitement and ease.

,,Oh my god....That's incredible!"

,,Tell me whenever you want me to come over and I'll be there with the papers."

,,I will be pretty bussy tomorrow and I want to have it behind me, so if you could come today it would be incredible."

,,I could actually, but only in two or three hours." She said and that's when I got at my building and took my keys to open the door.

,,That's perfect. Then I'll see you later." I said excited while I walked up the stairs.

,,See you, Camila." Melanie said and we hung up.

I couldn't help, but scream lightly from excitement. I entered the apartment as fast as I could so that the neighbors wouldn't know who just screamed like that.

I took my shoes off and then walked with Riley in her room and rocked her until she fell asleep. As she did so, I placed her in the bed and exited her room so that she could sleep peacefully.

I closed the door and then walked in the kitchen. I took the plate that Mrs Harrison prepared for me and put it in the fridge so that Shawn and I could eat it for dinner.

I decided to watch TV until Shawn gets back so I put FRIENDS on. The time passed faster then I thought and suddenly I heard how someone entered the apartment. I turned around to look over the couch and saw Shawn who was taking his shoes off.

,,Hey, babe." He said and smiled at me.

,,Hey! Guess what!" I said excited and paused the episode.

,,I don't know. Tell me." He said and came to sit next to me on the couch.

,,Melanie, the one from the children protection that is in charge of Riley's case said that she'll come today with the adoption papers!" I said excited and I was surprised as Shawn suddenly hugged me.

,,That's great! Oh my god! That's incredible!" He said and broke the hug to look at me.

,,I know, right! I finally don't have to worry about Nick doing something in the future!" I said even more excited seeing how excited he was for me.

,,He couldn't do anything anyways cause you and I wouldn't let him." He said and took my hand in his.

,,I know, but without the adoption he can take her away from us whenever he wants."

,,Us?" He asked with a smile and that's when I realized what I said.

,,I- I'm sorry.... I didn't think about my words.... I-...I'm sorry I shouldn't have said that and call you daddy- oh shit I didn't mean to say that...Ahm....I-" I said panicking and messing up my words so I just hid my face in my hands to make myself stop.
