“Think of your family today and every day thereafter, don’t let the busy world of today keep you from showing how much you love and appreciate your family.”

Camila POV

I woke up by the sound of the alarm and before I could reach and turned it off, Shawn did.

,,Morning..." I said and leaned in to kiss him.

,,Morning..." He said, took my hand in his and kissed it. He then looked down at my hand and started playing with the ring on my finger like he always does. It's like he wanted to make sure it wasn't all a dream.

We have been engaged for over three years now, but our wedding was in a few weeks. We both decided that we didn't have to get married right after our engagement and took time with the wedding planning. All the planning was so relaxing and by now, everything was perfectly planned.

,,You know what today is?" I asked him and got on top of him to rest my chin on his chest.

,,Monday..." He said and I was shocked that he didn't know what today was.

,,Shawn? You are kidding. Right?" I asked and he chuckled.

,,Of course I am! How could I ever forget that today is Riley's first day of kindergarten?" He asked and gave me a kiss on the forehead.

,,I don't know. That's why I was in shock." I said and picked his lips before I got off of him and got out of bed.

,,You wake up Riley and I cook?" Shawn asked and got out of bed too.

,,Can you do pancakes?" I asked him with my puppy eyes.

,,I will need your help. I'm not an expert like you and mom." He said and I laughed lightly at his words.

,,Start and I'll come after I wake up the princess." I said and he nodded.

We both walked out of the bedroom and I walked in Riley's rooms while Shawn made his way to the kitchen. I opened the door to her bedroom and saw her sleeping peacefully in her bed.

I walked right next to her bed and started stroking her cheek lightly with my thumb. She looked so peaceful that I didn't even want to wake her up.

,,Riley, baby. It's your first day of kindergarten!" I said quietly and she immediately opened her eyes and a smile appeared on her face.

Riley was now 4 years old and was going to be 5 in 3 months. I don't understand when the time passed, but it did.

,,I'm going to kindergarten!" She said excited and got out of bed instantly.

Well that wasn't my reaction when I had to go to kindergarten. I cried because I didn't want to go, but Riley seems excited and that was good.

She took one of my fingers in her little hand and made me follow her out the room and in the kitchen where Shawn started preparing breakfast.

,,Daddy!" She said excited and hugged Shawn's leg.

,,Good morning, my little princess! Are you excited to go to kindergarten?" Shawn asked Riley as he picked her up.

I could pick her up too, but I couldn't carry her around for a long time anymore. She was getting bigger and heavier every day and I already started to miss how tiny she used to be.

,,I'm soooo excited! Am I going to find new friends?" Riley asked and I took over Shawn's pancakes.

,,You for sure will." I said and Shawn nodded.
