Camila POV

Shawn, Riley and I ate breakfast together and this might sound crazy, but the other day made us grow together even more than before. It made us realize who and what we really needed.

After breakfast, Shawn and I decided to contact Mrs Geller. We sat on the couch while we watched Riley crawl around on the carpet.

,,We need to get her phone number..." I said and Shawn nodded.

,,Ask Melanie. She for sure has it or can get it for you." Shawn said and that's what I did.

I texted Melanie and to my surprise, she answered pretty quickly. She texted me the number so Shawn and I decided to call it.

,,Hello?" Mrs Geller answered the phone and for no reason I started feeling anxious.

,,Ahm... Here is Camila Cabello and please don't hang up and hear me out for a second." I said and Shawn placed his hand on my knee to calm me down.

I looked up at him and the moment a soft smile appeared on his face, I felt myself calming down immediately. I don't know how he can have such an effect on me, but he does and I'm not complaining.

,,Go on." Mrs Geller said and I felt relieved about the fact that she wanted to hear me out.

,,I can't and I won't give Riley to anyone because Nick had messed up two times and he won't get a third chance and now that I had Riley for months, I can't imagine a life without her. I'm sorry you didn't know bout Riley. Maybe if you'd have come before I adopted Riley, I might have consider giving her to you, but now I know how much I need her and...how much she needs me too. Look, I don't want to keep Reily away from you. I even want you in her life if you still want that. You unlike to your son, want to have a part in Riley's life. If you really want that, then I won't hold you back." I said and the other line was silent for a while.

,,I understand what you are saying, but..." She said not continuing her sentence.

,,But?" I asked confused.

,,Never mind.... I think I'd like to be part of Riley's life...." She said and a smile appeared on mine and Shawn's face.

,,That's great! Would you like to meet up in a cafe or something? We'd like to meet you." I said excited and Shawn's smile grew bigger looking at me.

,,Ahm...sure!"

We discussed the details and decided to meet at a cafe near Central Park. We got ready, put Riley in her baby stroller and made our way to that cafe.

We decided to take the subway because the way was not that short. The subway wasn't that full, thinking about the fact that it was Thursday and an hour when pretty much everyone was at work. We were still in New York, so there were still a lot of people there, but we at least had space for the stroller.

While we were in the subway, I noticed that Shawn was a little off. He had his arm around my waist, but he was looking around all the time.

,,You okay?" I asked him and he suddenly snapped out of his thoughts and looked at me.

,,Yeah... Why?"

,,You seem a little off. You sure you're okay?" I asked and he smiled at me.

,,I'm sure. I was just thinking." He said smiling.

,,About?"

,,Kind of everything. About Lena's and Daniel's wedding, about Addison's baby, about Riley's birthday and so on."
