Camila POV

I paid for the stuff at the store, said goodbye to Zara and then made my way back to home. I was starting to get used to my new life.

Not even two moths ago all I was doing was go to parties with Addison and meet up with our other friends in the weekends. I was rarely home and the only responsibilities I had were going to work at the cafe I was working at and trying to find a better job. All this changed in literally a day.

My life changed in 24 hours drastically. In the moment I was called at the hospital and found out my sister is dead, I changed. I became another person. I became a more mature me because I had to. It wasn't a choice, but now I'm used to it and I don't wanna go back to how I was.

I still couldn't accept what happened to Nina, but that will come with the time. Right?.....

As I got at my building, I saw Shawn talking with Dan right in front of the building. It didn't look like a normal conversation between two guys. Shawn seemed really tensed and Dan had a provocative smirk on his face.

My heart started beating faster and I felt so scared. Not scared of Dan or what he was saying to Shawn. I was scared of the reaction Shawn may have at what Dan was saying. He seemed really tensed and looked like it took all his power not punch Dan right in the face.

I started walking faster in their direction not wanting to experience what happened in college again. As I got closer, I could hear what they were saying.

,,You're like a puppy waiting for his owner to come home. Where is your pride? Did you give it away for a stupid woman?" I heard Dan asking and his words made me so angry. Who does he think he is talking to!?

,,You know what, man? I'm sorry for you and I'm sorry for the people that have to see you every day. I didn't 'give my pride away'. I'm respectful of a woman unlike you." Shawn said and now that I was closer I saw that he wasn't as tense as he looked like from far. He even seemed pretty calm.

Thank god...

,,Hey." I said as I got there and hugged Shawn from behind.

,,Hey." He said and as I looked up at him he smiled at me.

,,I'm sorry it took so long. I met Zara at the store and we talked a little about her "gender reveal party"." I said and Shawn's eyes grew in surprise.

,,Zara is pregnant!?"

,,Yeah. I forgot you didn't see her since you graduated."

,,I’ll let you with your owner, puppy." Dan said thinking I didn't know what he meant.

,,At least he's not a snake like you." I said and gave him a mean look. He's jaw fell because he doesn't know my bitch side, but when someone attacks the people I love, then I immediately react. No matter what.

,,Did you just call me a snake?" Dan asked and chuckled.

,,Yes. Problem?"

,,Wow... I had respect for you before, but that's pathetic. You need a woman to stand up for you!? That's sad." Dan said to Shawn and I felt Shawn tensing up.

,,Well, I never had respect for you and trust me, I can take care of myself really good, but I'm sure you don't want me to. But if you really do, then I'll take care of you the next on MY way. I'd love to see you bleed out because of every stupid thing that came out of your mouth." He said in a scary way that also scared me.

,,Shawn-" I said and pulled him back to me as I saw he was getting closer to Dan.

I don't like this Shawn. The only times I saw him like that was a few days ago and in college as.... Never mind...
