KABANATA LXXIV

Third Person's POV

The moonlight poured through the small, arched window of Everly's room, casting pale beams across the wooden floor. She lay on her bed, her chest rising and falling steadily as she tried to sleep, but peace remained beyond her reach.

"Do the universe a favor, don't hide your magic."

Biglang napadilat si Everly, the weight of the memory pressing against her heart. She slowly sat up, her silvery hair cascading over her shoulders.

Then, a disturbing thought struck her.

A shiver traveled down her spine as possibilities flooded her mind.

What if they intended to use Lukariah's remains for something far more sinister?

Ngunit bago pa siya tuluyang makapag-isip, another memory surfaced.

The faint trace of dark energy she had always sensed inside the Good Coven's basement suddenly became clearer. Matagal niya iyong sinasawalang-bahala dahil alam naman nilang may dugong demonyo sina Runa at Miciera. But tonight, something about that familiar darkness felt different.

She swung her legs over the bed, her bare feet meeting the cool wooden floor. After wrapping herself in a cloak, she quietly stepped onto the terrace. The night sky stretched endlessly above her, glittering with countless stars.

She gripped the railing and stared toward the distant forest.

Then her heart skipped.

Her instincts immediately sharpened. Without hesitation, she tightened her cloak and descended from the terrace. She crossed the grassland beyond the pack's territory, moving silently through the damp grass.

The night air carried the scent of dew and wildflowers. Somewhere nearby, insects hummed softly, but Everly heard something else—the faint rustle of leaves.

Then she saw her.

A woman in a dark cloak stood motionless before her, mysterious yet strangely composed.

Huminto si Everly, one hand already poised to unleash an attack should the stranger make a threatening move.

The woman slowly pushed back her hood.

"Sino ka?" matigas na tanong ni Everly.

The revealed face was unmistakable. Zerta.
