KABANATA LXXVII

Third Person's POV

The ground shook beneath their feet, while the thunderous sounds of battle rolled across the battlefield.

The sky was a sickly violet, roiling with dark clouds that twisted with every explosion of Weresfia's power. Lightning split the heavens, as though even nature recoiled from the destruction below.

Her eyes glowed an eerie yellow, and her body moved with unsettling grace, as though her own will had been buried beneath Ufara's control.

Flames of destruction danced around her, tearing through buildings, trees, and earth like a blade through silk. Every wave of light energy left another scar upon the land.

Greyson's jaw was clenched, his attention fixed on Weresfia, unable to attack without risking the woman he loved.

Zerta's heart tightened as she struggled to keep Crizelle standing.

"Help me get close to her," mahina ngunit desperadong bulong ni Crizelle.

She nodded and immediately searched for a way through the chaos. Her magic flared as she gathered enough energy for a teleportation spell, warping the air around them before transporting them directly toward the heart of the destruction.

The ground trembled as her power surged, and without hesitation, she unleashed a barrage of light energy.

Mabilis na nagtaas si Zerta ng barrier. The first blast struck it with enough force to make her arms tremble. Cracks spread across the shimmering shield, but she refused to yield, pouring more magic into it as wave after wave battered their protection.

Crizelle stared through the barrier at her sister, the woman who now stood at the center of their destruction.

"Everly! Do you hear me?!" sigaw niya, tears already gathering in her eyes.

For one brief second, Weresfia's glowing eyes flickered.

"It's me, your sister! I know I did horrible things to you before, and I regret them every single day. But please, come back! I'm sorry! You hear me? I'm sorry! Please, I know you can fight this!"

Unti-unting umangat ang nanginginig niyang kamay toward Weresfia. Her voice softened, carrying not fear but desperate hope.

Zerta glanced at the battlefield, alarmed. The barrier was weakening rapidly, flickering and sparking beneath the relentless assault. She gritted her teeth and poured more power into it, yet she knew it would not last forever.
