DISCLAIMER - Eren Jaeger and the rest of 104th Cadet Corps are not quite yet in the story. This is way before their time, just a little heads up!

The ride to training camp was the most awkward situation Violet had ever been in in her twenty years of life.
She wasn't able to even breath comfortably, as the slightest movement she made had all the eyes of the cadets on top of her. Violet saw how they placed their hands near their blades, readying them in the case they had to bring the assassin down if she made a sign of rebellion.
They saw her as a threat, their mistrust clear in their eyes. Violet couldn't blame them though, because if she was in their shoes she'd probably be just as wary as they were. It was an instinct of survival, and as they knew how dangerous her capabilities were, they couldn't help but be alert around her.Though she couldn't say that their actions didn't hurt her the slightest bit. Violet was tired of being a killing machine, that everyone knew how brutal and violent she could be. While once it brought her immense pride, knowing that people feared and respected her due to the powerhouse name she had created for herself, that had long since changed ever since her reputation only brought her hatred and pain. She had suffered for all those lives she claimed, for everyone she had to hurt while she obeyed orders that she couldn't escape from no matter what she tried. She had paid her price, especially under the hands of the Military Police. The years of pain and torture they implemented upon her broken vessel were more than enough. She always regretted what she did for a living, she hadn't even wanted to be an assassin for her profession in the first place, but she was forced and molded to be the beast she was and for that she was now paying a great price.
However, she wouldn't show that regret to the cadet staring with watchful eyes.
"If you keep on staring at me like that, you will make me start to think you'd like your eyes to be with me all the time." She said, "And that could be easily arranged, if you'd like." The young cadet quickly whipped his head to the side, too fast and too strong that it was sure to give him severe whiplash.
Forcing a little smirk to form in her lips she said, "That also goes to all of you, fuckers."Immediately, they all turned their heads to the other side, pretending to view the scenery they already knew by heart. Once Violet saw the last cadet look away, she finally let her walls down. She was captured, yet again. And although she was finally above ground, her freedom was tied to the Commander of the Survey Corps. She wouldn't be able to live a simple life and work a simple, humble job like she wanted; instead, she would be forced to use her skills to kill titans for the sake of humanity. Over and over again, history was repeating itself: she was captured or sold, forced to do something she really didn't want to do, and her freedom was a long reach from her again and again.
Violet was tired, so so tired. Never in her twenty years of life had she known pure and blissful peace, a world without pain and cruel suffering. She just couldn't understand what she had done to deserve such a miserable excuse of a life. Why couldn't she be happy for once? Why couldn't she achieve the goals she so desperately wanted to cross out? Why couldn't she run free and do as her heart desired? It was so tiring for the young assassin, so so tiring. All the suffering she had endured in her twenty years of life have made all the light leave her E/C eyes, that all that was seen from them was the emptiness and shattered vessel of Violet. She didn't want this kind of life anymore, she wanted anything but this. Violet just wanted to rest, to live a day without having to worry about whether she would live for the next day. Her selfish desire was to just be happy for once, that's all she asked.
But Violet Grey had no choice but to lift up her blades and kill once again.
