"Pay attention, you two. You don't want Captain Grey kicking your ass for not paying attention to what she said." Thomas said to his two sisters.
"I am not kicking anyone's ass, Thomas. Especially not your two kid sisters." Violet said, "But I will kick yours for opening your big mouth." She turned around and glared at Thomas playfully, dragging her hand across her neck in a silent threat. A laugh left her lips when she saw Thomas' eyes widen the slightest, as she approached the two girls and crouched before them. "Alright, it's your time to do it. Remember what I taught you and you'll be fine. So, who's going first?"
"Me!" Mai exclaimed, raising her hand.
She smiled. "Alright then. Your punching bag is right there." She pointed towards Thomas, who stood away from them oblivious to what she was saying.
The younger sister ran towards her brother, grabbing his shirt in her small fist. "C'mon, Thomas! Fight me!"
Thomas looked down at her confused, brows furrowed. "What?"
"You're my opponent!"
"Right...okay." He said, offering her a smile, "But I won't be too gentle, okay? You have to learn."
"Yeah, yeah, whatever you say. I am tough!"

Violet only smiled as she watched the two of them get in a fighting stance, just like she had taught them. She had woken up earlier than she would've wanted just to train Mai and Irene. She had heard the three siblings walk past her room at an early hour, so she decided to get up right then and train them like she had promised she would do. The sun was barely shining when she had gotten out of her office and found them in the dining hall, the two girls eating their breakfast. She sat down with them and answered all the questions they asked, smiling as she saw them in a better mood than the day before. The three were still noticeable sad, beyond heartbroken at the terrible loss of their mother. Although the three of them tried to put on brave faces whenever she or anyone else was around, she could see right through them as she wore one like them all the time. She didn't mention anything about it, decided it was better not to bring it up and instead went along with them. Once the girls had finished breakfast, she had shown them all the things they needed to know to be able to defend themselves. No one was too young to know how to protect themselves, after all, people tended to take advantage of the one's more vulnerable to the world. They had caught on to the training pretty fast, just like their older brother, which did not fail to amuse her. It truly was a pleasure to teach this family.

"Mai! I think that's quite enough, you can get off him now." She said as she walked up to them. Mai got off his brother, knees leaving his throat. Violet offered him a hand and helped him back to his feet. "You weren't going to be too gentle, huh?"
Thomas groaned, rubbing his throat. "I swear I wasn't. This little girl has a strength that I have no idea where it came from."
She smiled at that. "She's going to be a great fighter, I'm telling you."
"A little soldier just like me." Thomas smiled sadly at that.
She saw his saddened state, and although she saw nothing wrong with the girl wanting to be a soldier of the Survey Corps, she decided to say, "She doesn't have to be. There are many other great things she can belong to, so don't worry about it now. She still has many years before she decides."
"Yeah, you're right." He nodded his head, "Thank you."
She nodded her head back at him before she turned to Irene. "You're next, Irene!"

She walked away from Thomas and placed her hand on Mai's back, guiding her away to the shade. "Wait, wait. I'm fighting again?" Thomas asked.
"Yeah, do you see someone else?" Violet said as she handed Mai a glass of water.
"Gods, Captain, I haven't gotten a break."
"You don't need one, I have trained you to last even more than you think."
Thomas only groaned and got into a fighting stance, his eyes meeting Irene's who was already in the same stance as him.

Violet handed Irene a glass of water, as Thomas gulped down his.
"You two did great!" She said to the girls, "If anything, you guys will be much better than fighters than your brother right here."
The girls laughed and stuck their tongues out to Thomas, who faked being hurt by their teasing by placing a hand over his heart. "You heard that, Tom! We will be even better than you!" Irene said.
He hummed. "I don't know about that Irene, I think Captain Grey is only saying that to make you feel better after the terrible fight you put up."
"Oh, shut up! I had you on the floor!"
"Because I was being gentle. The gods know I would have beaten you easily if I hadn't been gentle with you two."
"Yeah, yeah, you just say that to make yourself feel better. But Captain Grey doesn't lie." Irene said, "Right, Captain?"

"You're completely right, Irene. Your brother doesn't want his fragile ego to get even more hurt, so he is saying that to make himself feel better." She ruffled Irene's head.
"Captain! I'm on your squad, you should be on my side!" Thomas whined.
"I'm on the side of the truth and, in this case, that means your sisters side."
Thomas just pouted as his sisters stuck out their tongues at him again.
Violet laughed at them when she turned her head to the side and spotted Levi. Her smile immediately left her lips as she put on a stoic face as she looked at him signalling her over to where he was. She looked back to Thomas and his sisters and back at him. She turned to Thomas and the two girls and crouched once again before them. "It was a pleasure training you two today, believe me. I would love to do it again if that's your wish. But I just wanted to tell you that if you ever need anything, even something you might find absurd, I am always available for you two." She turned her body slightly to the side and pointed towards the direction of her room, "That's where you can find me almost all the time. So if you need someone to talk to or anything at all, you will find me there. So even if it is late hours into the night and you need something, you can always count on me, okay? Don't be scared to knock and call for me, I'm probably awake. Always am."

The girls nodded their heads and smiled at her.
She smiled back and got up. "I have to go, but you can continue training with Thomas. I promise I'll teach you more the next time." She turned around and walked up towards Levi, who had his arms crossed as he watched her walk. Once she reached him, she crossed her arms against her chest, too. "What is it, Levi?"
"Tch. Good morning to you too, brat. What were you doing up so damn early?"
She rolled her eyes. "What is it?"
"We have a court hearing to be at, so let's go."
