"Slow down, boy, you're going to choke at that pace that you're eating," Julian said, as he held the bucket closer to the horse's mouth.
"Gods, Julian, let the damn animal eat however it wants." Violet scoffed, "He already carries your heavy ass around, the least you could do is let him eat like that."
A snort sounded from Violet's left, followed by a burst of muffled laughter. She turned her head and playfully glared at Eren who, like them, was feeding his horse. "What? Am I wrong?" She said.
He shook his head, playfulness shining in his eyes. "No, not all, Violet. It's just, you guys friendship is so...amusing."
"Amusing is not the word I would use, more like she's mean to me--"Julian started, before Violet slammed her elbow into his chest. He hissed out in pain, clenching his jaw to minimize the sound as he glared at Violet softly. The girl only grinned at him and gave him her cheekiest smile, turning her head to focus on Eren. "I deserve a break from dealing with his ass all the time."
Julian snorted. "If you need a break, I need a life-long vacation, Grey."
They both just glared at each other, staring intently into their eyes until one of them had to look away. They sharpened their glares as much as they could manage, but it didn't last long as they burst out laughing like hyenas in a terribly loud volume. Eren was startled by this but quickly joined the laughter as their laughter was contagious to anyone who passed by, especially with the small snorts leaving Violet's mouth.

Wiping the tear off her eyes, she turned to Eren and said, "So, has everyone treated you good so far?"
He nodded. "Yeah, everyone has been really kind. Thank you for that." He said, "Julian has introduced me to a lot of people and included me in conversations."
She smiled at that, mentally writing down to thank Julian for his kindness. He has always been that way, but it never hurts to remind him just how special he is. "That's great, Eren, I'm glad. Sorry that I haven't been around much, we've been having a lot of shit to deal with."
"Don't worry, Grey, he's been in good hands with me." Julian said, "I'm even going to go far and say that Eren and I have been forming a good bond, right bud?"
Eren nodded and smiled even wider. Violet raised her brows and let out a small whistle. "Replacing me, are you? Gods, I haven't been around for a few hours and I'm just as replaceable as everyone else."
"Don't be jealous, Violet. I just have that effect on people." Eren said with a cheeky smile.
"So two little devils have joined forces, huh."
The two boys just looked at each other and grinned, Julian winking at him. Violet only shook her head and left the two boys alone, not before smacking the back of Julian's head with her empty hand. She was about to put the bucket away when Levi Ackerman came riding in at hell-speed and started barking orders. Violet turned to Julian, who was already looking at her, and frowned. They both dropped their buckets off and went up to Levi, whose face was coloured with a deepened frown.

She didn't even have to utter a word for Levi to start telling her what's going on. "We're heading to the assembly. Get your squad ready."
She nodded her head and looked at Julian and with a single look into her eyes knew what she was asking of him. They both split ways and started gathering the squad, who quickly got into their horses and followed right after their Captain.

After assembling her squad and riding behind Levi and his squad, she left to the front where Levi was at and rode by his side. She didn't speak to him at first, only acknowledge each other's presence with a slight nod of their heads. Levi hadn't questioned why she was there nor did he furrow his brows, as he very much welcomed her presence. For some reason, one that startled him a bit, Violet being there made him feel less stressed than he was before, felt his shoulders lose their stiffness by just seeing her on his side. These past couple of days had been stressful, much more than any other day in his life. There were so many new changes, good and bad ones, that so much change made him feel unsettled and distraught. And having to add on a bigger load to his already demanding work was just creating an even bigger burden on humanity's strongest soldier shoulders.
Violet noticed the stiff posture of his body, the dead giveaway of just how high the tension in his body was becoming due to their current situations. She knew how he felt, as she was being demanded and thrown around just like him. The number of times she had to ride away from the former headquarters to retrieve orders and messages at every given moment of the day, the long-lasting meetings, the relentless moving was also taking a toll on her whole being. But Levi was already a hardworking man who hardly got an inch of rest and adding this to that load was clear to Violet's eyes. She was probably one of the few who noticed, who was able to see through the facade that Levi so relentlessly put up. And maybe not feeling like he was alone in this would help him lose that constant tension that devoured his body.
"So, care to tell me the plan?" She finally spoke.
He turned his head slightly as he watched her with the corner of his eye. "We're needed on the assembly."
"Yeah, I know that, Levi." She sighed, "You know that you're not alone in this, right? You can tell me anything. Let me help you out." She resisted the urge that flowed through her body to reach over his hand and squeeze it, to give him a touch of reassurance and encouragement. But she didn't know if he would welcome it or not, so instead she just stared at his stunning features and waited for his response.
