Violet Grey exploded with light.
That power that had long been dormant in her body devoured her whole, coursing through her veins with a feeling of finally being alive. Whole.
It filled her with ancient powerful magic that had her veins roaring with it. Nothing like the one that had rippled through her veins before, that ancient magic barely awakening.
No, this was the full thing. And it sang on her veins an ancient song from a language long since last spoken.
She was magic. She was endless. And she would bring down the Beast Titan.

Her magic no longer burned that lovely sapphire, the one that made her E/C eyes shine brighter.
No, this was a blinding light that would've got her squinting in some other time. But right now, the brighter and hotter it burned, the more it fueled the anger boiling in her core.
It was blinding pure light now, and so did her symbol burn that light.
And when she reached down for more power, she found it to be an endless well. Deeper and eternal than the depths she could go before. Now she truly had no limit.

And when Violet extended her arm, pointing with one finger at the beast that had taken it all from her, a promise of death, her arms glowed as she let herself burn brighter.
And she ran towards where death dragged her.

She was a wind of pure cold-calculated death.
A silver storm that had no way of stopping, no way of holding back, as she slammed her burning body against the one who had taken it all from her.
Her eyes burned with rage as her magic consumed her body. She couldn't see what she was doing, what sort of damage she was inflicting, but as her fists and magic landed against the Beast Titan, for her that was enough to know that she was getting revenge from what he stoled.
The smell of burning fur was an unpleasant scent in her system, but as she burned brighter and brighter, and her powers went more lethal on the titan, the smell just kept getting harder and harder to avoid.
The Beast Titan would pay for what he had done to the cadets. To Julian. Even if she went down with him. Would pay for taking away from her one of the best things that had ever been hers. Her friend. The only family she'd ever had in her whole damn life.
Pain was what kept her fueled as more and more blasts left her body. Her hands.

And through this fury that consumed her soul, Violet did not see Levi approach. How he helped her in bringing down this thing that had also taken a significant amount from him.
But Levi did it with his blades, creating deep, thick slashes against the Beast Titan's skin.
They were blinded by anger that the only thing they had in their minds was taking this damn thing down. She would personally see that the holder, whoever it was, was six feet under when all was done.
The skin around her hand hardened and Violet ripped out the titan holder from where it hid in its nape. She threw him to the ground, a blonde male with fumes reeking his body.
She approached him with eerie fury, her eyes shining with silver flames, and as her hand ignited a flame that burned with the heat of a thousand suns, she saw fear in the holder's eyes.
Levi landed by her side and shoved his blade down the holder's mouth, stopping her from setting the man in flames. His hand graced her shoulder, holding her back, not yet, Grey.
Despite her whole body aching to attack, to put an end to this man, she did. She made her body stand down, although her body remained rigid in a fighting stance.
And it was not like Levi was not smothering, too; aching to do the same thing that Violet Grey's body screamed at her to do. He wanted nothing more than to plunge his blade deep into the titan wielder's skull and watch as his life drained from his eyes. "After transforming, if your body's severely damaged, it's too busy healing to let you transform. Isn't that right?" He pushed his blade further into his mouth, drawing out blood. "Oi, answer me."

The rumbling behind them perhaps was his answer.
Levi grabbed Violet by her waist and flew them away before the sharp, vicious teeth of a titan they had never seen before graced their skin and took the blonde titan holder into its mouth. He put them down on the ground again and watched as the two unusual beasts left hurriedly, leaving only chaos and destruction behind their wake.
Violet felt her powers come to a cool, that silver flame extinguishing into nothing and leaving emptiness instead that it knocked the air out of her. Everything came crashing down to her immediately, hitting her like the weight of a thousand bricks. The pain of losing Julian, of that other piece of her being ripped out of he soul, was even more unbearable than before.
Her chest was caving in again. That light she had regained smothering into nothing once more, just like it had during those four years.

And Violet wondered, truly wondered, what she would do now that Julian was gone.
