ONE YEAR AFTER VIOLET GREY JOINED SC

Months after the successful expedition where Violet's powers were put to the test against the biggest enemy of mankind, Violet Grey became Captain Violet Grey. Or Captain Grey or Captain Violet, whichever it was anyone preferred. The proposition that Erwin was thinking about became true after the fruitful results of the mission and due to Levi's point of view regarding Violet and how she acted on the expedition. Captain Levi didn't exactly sing her praises, not a lot of nice words, but enough to let Commander Erwin know that Violet had done a spectacular job. It was clear that even the short man who hardly put his emotions on display was rather amazed by the work the young girl had achieved.
 
Those who once feared her and disrespected her, whether from the fact that she was an assassin and came from the Underground or her never-seen-before powers, now came to see her equally and treated her with the respect she deserved.
While being a Captain was a responsibility that Violet Grey did not want, she came to claim it with such pride in her heart. It was all still such a foreign ground, even a week later, as it was a big step going from a cadet to a captain in a matter of a year. But she did not struggle much as she would've thought. She was yet to pick her squad members and to see her new office and room, but she was handling her new job good nevertheless.

The ceremony was rather embarrassing to Violet. While she enjoyed the attention, loved being in the spotlight, it was a long ceremony consisting of Erwin speaking his mind off and singing her praises while she just stood there like some mere accessory for hours long. All that time she did not know where to look, whether at the staring crowd or to Erwin himself. She felt so uncomfortable all the time, she even lost the little acceptance she had in being captain due to all that talk. But once Erwin had stopped talking his mind off, he approached her and did the whole ritual with the sword and all; and proclaimed her the newest Captain of the Survey Corps. Now the Survey Corps consisted of three extremely talented and strong Captain's, which was great news in Erwin's eyes.
Even though Violet came to accept the whole concept of being a Captain, she still dreaded it. But that dread did not apply to the few perks that came along with the job. One of those few perks was that she was able to leave the Survey Corps land. It seemed like they had finally put their trust in her, therefore letting her run wild wherever she wanted to set foot in. So due to that little advantage she now had, Violet currently found herself shopping in the Capital district of Wall Sina. Julian, Thomas and the entirety of Squad Levi -- excluding Levi, of course -- had accompanied her after she asked them (more like commanded) to join her on this little well-being spree. Violet hadn't left the Survey Corps ever since she set her first foot above ground, so she had little to no knowledge about where to go or where anything was.

According to the members of Squad Levi, Wall Sina's merchants offered the best goods you could ever find; however, they were pricey. But that was not a problem for Julian and Violet, who invited the whole Squad to buy whatever they wanted while they would pay, as they both had their blood money from when they were assassins. 
The money they earned in their previous profession was a large quantity. Each mission paid gloriously to the assassins if it all went well, so it meant that they both would be considered rather rich as they had been working in that field since a very young age. They could've lived a good life in the Underground with the money they had; that would've been the case if they hadn't been bound to Austin who prohibited the two of them from leaving him and his keep. He wanted his best assassins close in reach, so he cut that opportunity from them before the two could even ask, meaning that all the money they earned went to waste.
But now here, they could use that money to buy anything their hearts desired. They could treat their friends from time to time and buy anything they saw that caught their eye. They were getting rid of their blood money in exchange for something that would only be good for them and essentially create good memories with them.
