Showing Hanji all the abilities that she could muster with her mind resulted in being a little more tiresome and took longer than Violet thought. In all those hours, she had repeated each action at least thrice so that the Captain could observe it all and write their thoughts down.
By the time they ended, it was training time; and today was the first time Violet would train with the entirety of Squad Levi. She had heard all the hype of Levi's Squad through Julian, as he told her what everyone thought about that specific group and how only the best were hand-picked by Levi himself. Apparently, it was quite the honour to be chosen to be part of his Squad, but Violet could care less that she had a spot in his squad or anything for that matter. While she was placed on his squad due to her skills, there still was the fact that she was also placed there so that the Captain could keep an eye on her at all times; and that made her blood boil with so much rage, as she was being treated like an animal on a cage.

Violet found it incredibly dumb that they still thought she would try to escape, after all she was tired of running and always getting caught. Every time she sought her freedom, something always held her down from getting the tiniest taste of the thing she most desired. It was pointless at this point seeking her only goal. The conditions weren't at all that bad to make her leave so desperately; they didn't beat her to the ground, they provided meals all the time and she was finally above ground, so she really couldn't complain at all.
"Listen up, brats." Levi said to his squad, "This is Cadet Grey and she will be joining our squad for now on."
They all turned to look at the girl and saluted as she looked at them with bored eyes. She didn't wave back, only offered them a small nod from her head. They turned their heads and waited for their Captain to continue to talk. "In a month we have an expedition." Levi said, "So train your ass out and ensure you don't make a mistake, that especially goes for you Grey."
Violet only sighed and rolled her eyes, shifting her feet as she tried not answering back. Levi knew very well how superior her skills were, maybe almost at the same level as him, but yet decided to pick on her; and that irked Violet like nothing in this world had. It was insulting that he thought so low from her, treating her like she was completely useless to the group. If anything, Levi should be trusting her and her skills. She had barely met the guy two days ago and he already knew how to push her buttons.
"We will be teaching Grey how our formations work, so stick with me, brat."
"Yes, sir." Violet said.

They all split ways, but before Violet could follow Captain Ackerman, she was stopped by the red-headed girl she had seen at Levi's table before. "Hey, I'm Petra! It's so nice to finally talk to you." Violet offered her a small smile as she stared at her honey-brown eyes. "I'm Violet."
"I know, I've heard about you!" Petra said, "I just wanted to tell you, don't worry about Levi that much. He's usually that way most of the time, but he is a nice person I promise."
The ex-assassin almost scoffed but she bit down her tongue before the sound left her mouth, as Petra's words seemed far from the truth. She had gathered that Captain Levi was a rather stoic and rude man in the short time she was there, but she didn't know about the 'nice' side of him that Petra claimed he had. His appearance showed no room for warmth, only an icy exterior that she would try to avoid at all cost. The fact that people claimed that he was capable of being pleasant made her eyes shine with amusement. "I don't know about nice, but thank you for the heads up. Although, I already noticed his moody personality, it isn't hard to notice."
Petra smiled at Violet and said, "Yeah, but you'll eventually get used to it. And like I said, he is nice and cares about us." Violet only nodded at the girl, as she was yet to see that kindness from the man. "Well, let's catch up before he bites our heads off."

"You don't have to tell me twice." Violet said.
