Violet was surprised that her cadets were more excited than nervous to train alongside the highly recognized Squad Levi. She had expected them to feel a least a bit of nerves, as word of Levi and his training ways were hard to escape. But when she had seen them be ecstatic as she told them the news, she couldn't help but smile alongside them. She had agreed on the idea after a week that Hanji had suggested to the two of them to train their squads together. At first, she did not want such a thing as she wanted to continue training her squad by herself, to get them even more used to her ways. But after some thinking, she saw no harm with her cadets learning new techniques and learning how to take orders from someone else that wasn't her; after all, her life was never guaranteed in this field. She could be gone in a blink of an eye and they would no longer have her to guide them anymore. While she did not want for that to happen, it was still good they learned.
"Oi, Grey, what took you and your brats so damn long?" He said, his usual frown in place.
"Quit it old man, you're gonna get a heart attack if you keep getting so damn mad."
"Tch, what a pain."
"Yeah, yeah, you love me." She said, "Anyways, do we get started with the warm-ups or does your old ass need some time?" She smirked, seeing him glare daggers her way. He only walked up the cadets and crossed his arms along his chest. "Oi, listen to me. We are starting with hand-to-hand combat, so find a partner of the opposite team."

The cadets quickly scrambled to get a partner that was not from their squad and dispersed along the training ground. Levi and Violet were each others partner and the two got in a fighting stance. "You know, I don't remember who won last time. Wasn't it me?" She smirked.
"Tch, you're delusional, brat."
She laughed. "What? Hurt that I beat you that one time?"
"You did not win, you insolent brat. None of us did, we tied."
"Yeah, yeah, do you want to change that then?"
Her only answer was Levi launching at her with no warning. Her body was able to react in time, twisting itself out of the way as she regained footing. She clenched her fists and swung her leg over to hit him, a decoy for what she was going to do next. Like she had planned, he dodged the attack and let down the guard on his left side, where she next aimed her fist on, landing a successful blow. He moved back, hissing in pain. While his face did not reveal his pain, the blow had hurt him more than he showed. She did pack a mean punch, after all. She smirked, happy that she was able to trick him and land a blow. As mean as it was, it was one of her proudest moments; landing an attack like that on Levi Ackerman was either impossible or a death wish at his hand. "You're getting kind of rusty, Levi."
"And your ego is getting to your head." He said.

They kept going like that, throwing and landing punches here and there. Levi was able to knock the breath out of Violet multiple times after, his little revenge from the stunt she had pulled. But he never got her to land on her ass and claim the victory as his. Violet also fought back, once more landing kicks and punches on the man. They were ruthless, both had a hunger to win. They did not want to go down by the hand of the other, it was just not an option they would accept. Violet wanted to laugh. This little rivalry of theirs reminded her a bit of the one she had with Julian not long ago. However, this one was far more different; one she did enjoy. The one she had with Julian was tiring, having to compete with him on everything they did, no matter what it was. There was never a break and all she wanted was to be Julian's friend. Meanwhile, this rivalry she had with Levi Ackerman, was all fun in games. While they would be damned if they let the other win, they both knew it was a game. That it was never a real competition, so they enjoyed it both but they would never voice the thought.
But this time, Violet would ensure she would win this round. So, with all the force she could muster, she launched herself upon Levi and brought him down. Her body landed on top of him, his body landing on the ground with a loud thud. She cringed, the sound was too loud then it should've been. The fall probably hurt him more due to her weight being on top of him, but she showed no sign of concern, only a wicked grin resting on her lips. She pushed herself off him a bit, enough to look at his face. "This means I win, doesn't it?"
"You're a gods damned cheater, Grey. What the hell was that?"
She laughed. "'Gods damned'? Holy shit, my language is becoming a part of you now!"
"And you think I haven't heard all the 'Oi''s and other shit I say coming out of your mouth?"
She rolled her eyes, a smile on her lips. "Oh, shut up. It's your fault that's all you say."
They both stared at each other's eye, forgetting about the world surrounding them. This was an enjoyable moment for the two, aside from the burning pain Levi felt on his back. She had got him good, her trick one he did not expect her to do. He had not seen it coming, and when he had it was too late for him to move out of her way. While he would've considered her move as cheating, he would not lie and say it was not brilliant on her part. She had managed to catch her opponent off guard and with this one specific trick she did, it was hard to avoid it no matter if they moved.

"Gods, Violet. Get off the old man, you're going to hurt him more." Julian said, grabbing Violet by her waist and picking her up. Violet momentarily frowned, disappointed that the moment was over. But she quickly covered it up, looking at Julian with wide eyes. "You're aware you just called him--"
"Who are you calling 'old man' Cadet Holt?" Levi growled.
"Damn, he called you Cadet Holt. You're alone in this." Violet mumbled to him, leaving his side as she bit back her laugh.
"I am so sorry, Captain. It just slipped. I am around Violet too much." Julian said, throwing the blame at her. She wanted to say something back to him, for trying to get into the mess he got himself in in the first place. But she didn't, she just watched as Levi punished him by making him run laps. She felt bad for not helping him, but he had thrown her to the wolve's in order to save his skin. This was the taste of his own medicine. So she only stared at him as he ran his undetermined amount of laps.

"Damn brat, calling me old." He turned around, a scowl on his face, and faced all of the remaining cadets, "Oi, stop staring. Let's get this damn training started."
